How do I BE a #CXO?🤔 He had recently switched jobs and become a CXO. High stakes 2 - in - 1, isn't it? A: New organisation B: Coveted CXO title So the coaching question that day was about exploring what a CXO mindset should be (and what is the shift needed from how he was earlier) ❓ Here's what emerged 1. Change your relationship with Time. Don't be in a hurry, always. Pause. Absorb. Respond. ⏳ 2. Listen More. Speak Less. 👂👂 3. Let go. Trying to control everything won't work. Let go of too much detail. 🤌 4. Change perspective of how one looks at the job. A great opportunity...not something to be scared of!🔎🔭👀 5. Give freedom to the team. Trust them to rise to the occasion. Don't be in a hurry to judge them. 🤝 As he talked through these reflections, he suddenly sat back in his chair with a deep breath. I waited. "I will have to be quite a NEW me in the CXO role." 🤩 Wow! Once more it hit me! 💡 How a role transition can unlock the door to transformation. It can feel overwhelming, risky and lonely at the same time. It can also catapult one to the next level of being a leader. Truly #BEING. It's ok to be wary. And I suddenly remembered that line from a famous commercial ... "Darr ke aage jeet hai" Exciting times ahead. 😎 #careertransitions #cxo #leadershipgrowth #leadershipdevelopment #executivecoach #careercoach #abrighterlife Image credit: Freepik
