Let’s talk Cold IPAs. What do those two words together even mean? For the craft beer crowd, Cold IPAs deliver the hop-forward beers you love. They dive deep into hop character, bringing out all those complex, aromatic notes that make IPAs the #1 style by sales in the craft scene. But, instead of the heavier body or overwhelming intensity you might get with other IPAs, Cold IPAs keep things light and crisp, thanks to their lager yeast and cooler fermentation process. For those who usually go for more traditional beers, Cold IPAs are a great introduction to craft beer. They're not as intense or bitter as most IPAs on the shelves today, which also makes them a great fit for the craft fans that are getting a little tired of the haze. And big ups to our brewery crew for your hard work, dedication and creativity. 🍻 2023 Untappd Community Awards criteria: - Beers were ranked by style according to their average rating from check-ins with ratings in the calendar year 2023. The date a beer was brewed or released was not a factor. - One user, one vote per beer! If a user rated a given beer multiple times in 2023, only the final check-in with a rating counted. - For a beer to qualify, it must have received at least 50 check-ins from 50 unique Untappd community members in 2023. - For a substyle to qualify for the Community Awards, there must have been at least 3 qualifying beers in the substyle in the selected geography in 2023. - Beers qualify based on the brewery’s primary location, not the location of the check-ins, user, etc. - Importantly, Untappd team members had no subjective input on these awards. No brewers received preferential treatment. The only criteria were the objective metrics outlined above based on the ratings of Untappd community members all around the world.

A little bit of practical knowledge at the end of the day to celebrate German Beer Day: We measured it once with our Portavo and a pH sensor SE555 and show here our measurement results for different beers: • a dark beer from Berlin • a wheat beer from southern Germany and a • alcohol-free Pilsner from northern Germany. 𝗙𝗮𝘇𝗶𝘁: There are differences, but they are not very big. 𝗛𝗼𝘄𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿, 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝘁𝗼𝗼 𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗺 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗱𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴.😜 This is not great for enjoyment, but this doesn't matter for the measurement, because the Portavo transmitter compensates for the temperature to determine the correct pH value. Flights are not just for airplanes. Oh no. Go to a brewery and there's a good chance you'll be able to get a flight -- a selection of four or five beers in small glasses. If you're the first one at a winery on a Tuesday morning, you can get a wine flight at 10:45 am. It's true. You can get a flght of hard apple cider or even a mead flight if you're in the right place. That would be a place that sells mead. The beer flight, however, is not universally embraced among brewers. Why not? They have their reasons -- they are explained in this article from InsideHook (https://lnkd.in/eKqip_ug) -- which may or not be completely valid. They're not, by the way. Glassware? Temperature? Complicated? The article offers this view on flight complexity: "Young beer drinkers generally often don’t have the ability to make such decisions about what they want to try. 'Put yourself in the perspective of someone who just turned 21,' he says. 'You go to a brewery and see 18 taps? … It’s so overwhelming. They want simplicity. So, they typically just order whatever their friend tells them to get.' " First rule of Beer Club: If Beer Club is too complicated, stay away from Beer Club.

Stout popularity soars to make it Britain’s fastest growing beer! Stout has become so popular again that it is now the fastest growing beer variety in the UK. In the last year volume demand for the malty, full-bodied, dark beer with a creamy head has grown by 35% at Tesco. I was sick and tired of the same old rubbish on today's shelves at the local super marche. You know the ones that claim to be unique but are sold in the millions. Anyhow I stumbled upon this brewery with someone leaving a bottle at a Welsh caravan park that I visited. I thought I had won the lottery until I tasted it. Then I knew I had won the lottery. The great tasting beer lottery. If you don't try this brewery's beer your missing out on a small fortune. So good was the beer I ordered 48 bottles on the new fan dangled inter web thingy. It's the only time the things proved it's weight in gold to be honest. Quick delivery value for money and the beer was immaculately flavoured. If carlsberg did beer like this it would make carlsberg actually worth drinking instead of using it for cleaning the drains. Unfortunately I moved to England more than half my life ago. This beer helped me to rediscover my taffness. It filled me with joy and the sort of warmth that you never get when in the valleys and rarely get in the UK. I heard rumours that this beer was filtered through Pablo Escobar socks hence the fluffy feeling you get upon experiencing it and how addictive it becomes as no other beer satisfies afterwards. Anyhow enough from me. In a nutshell You will not be disappointed with the taste, quality or rappidness ness of delivery. This company might be small but it certainly knows how to take care of its customers and fans. Enjoy your beer? Enjoy Tomos Watkin.
