Giving Thanks and Looking Ahead This Thanksgiving, I’m reflecting on the connections that shape our lives and the mission we work so hard to advance at YFU. Our focus on building bridges between cultures, families, and communities feels more vital than ever. I’m deeply thankful for: • The students who inspire us with their courage and hope for a better, more connected world. • The host families who show that open hearts and homes can transcend any divide. • The local coordinators, volunteers, and staff who dedicate themselves to fostering understanding and mutual respect. • And our global partners, who remind us that the strength of our work lies in our shared commitment to unity. This year, as we give thanks, we also recognize the challenges ahead. At a time when division can feel pervasive, our mission—to create connections that foster empathy, learning, and shared humanity—has never been more critical. Gratitude isn’t passive; it calls us to act with purpose and resolve. Let’s move forward together with that sense of purpose, strengthening the bonds that unite us and bringing the spirit of exchange to even more lives in the year to come.
