#HappyNewYear | #newbeginnings As we usher in 2025, I find myself reflecting on a year of remarkable milestones and achievements across the glorious decades. We all had our learnings from 2024 - focusing on taking care of our loved ones, taking care of our own physical and mental health and most importantly, showing respect and compassion to others both professionally and personally. Every end marks a new beginning. On the road to success, the rule is always to look ahead. The future only looks brighter with our association and we are confident of growth & progress in the same spirit. A snap shot of the key milestones is elucidated below: 2024 marked completion of my 2(Two) decades in Mannai Corporation QPSC as well as in the #ITTransformation vertical. Such occasions & reflections gives us a moment to pause, express gratitude to our valued Customers, Technology Partners, Channel Partners and Team #mannaiitsolutions and even those who chose differently, every interaction has been instrumental in shaping my journey, as the adage goes, “A rising tide lifts all boats.” As the saying goes, “Teamwork makes the dream work”, Witnessing the growth and achievements of my team members has been incredibly fulfilling. Leadership, to me, is about enabling others to reach their full potential and continuously learning together, which embodies the well-known saying ‘Success is best when shared’. The closing lines… As we embark on the journey into 2025, let's commit to a year of strategic innovation, sustained growth, and meaningful progress. In the words of Peter Drucker, “The best way to predict the future is to create it.” May this year be filled with opportunities to redefine success, strengthen our partnerships, and achieve our collective goals. Happy New Year to all my clients and contacts! I am looking forward with a little trepidation to 2025 - it should be an exciting year one way or another! As a business we are looking for big growth by continuing to support our clients build their businesses, save tax and for some to realise the value in their businesses on exit. Here are my New Year business wishes for 2025. Some may be overly optimistic but we can hope! 1)     That the planned increase in employer’s NI from 13.8% to 15% is reversed. Whatever happens I am confident that UK businesses will prosper. Many will offshore jobs abroad, invest in technology to replace jobs, replace employed jobs with self employed jobs, plus of course increase prices and maybe lower future wage increases! Few will have the wide shoulders to take on this significant increase in cost. 2)     That interest rates come down. Not sure whether BOE will be able to do much if the goal remains 2% inflation. Inflation and our interest rates are probably more likely to be led by what happen in the US so it will be interesting to see if Europe and China end up in a trade war with the US on tariffs. 3)     That the UK gets building again. Last year was a bad one with so many construction companies going to the wall (ISG being the biggest casualty). The ONS recently reported new work for October 2024 was down 1.2% on the same month the previous year. However speaking to clients I can see some green shoots for new housing developments in 2025 here in the South East. Let’s hope for cuts in building regulation red tape and some out of the box thinking on how to attract more talent to the construction industry. 4)     That we get a proper trade deal with Europe which enables us to trade freely with Europe without the need for endless Brexit red tape. Probably being a bit too hopeful? What are your business wishes for the UK in 2025?
