🌟 𝐂𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭 🌟 We have learned that in order to keep improving the quality of our services,, connecting with our audience is more crucial than ever. Of course there are various event formats to consider, each offering their benefits. Here's a quick rundown of options we always consider, and our personal favorite at RocketX and RocketPeople: 🎤 𝐖𝐞𝐛𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐬: Perfect for sharing expertise and insights with a large audience. They offer convenience and can reach a global audience, but may lack interactivity. 🏢 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩𝐬: Ideal for hands-on learning and skill development. They foster a collaborative environment, though they can be resource-intensive. 💬 𝐐&𝐀 𝐒𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬: Great for addressing specific questions and engaging directly with your audience. They offer high engagement but may not provide deep insights into broader topics. 🍽️ 𝐍𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬: Excellent for building relationships and community. We loved meeting our partners at events like the Endeavor Greece #Onecommunity Summer Party (picture below!), TNW, and the SaaStock Local event we hosted. Many more to come this year! 🤝 𝐑𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬: 𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐅𝐚𝐯𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞! But for us, roundtable discussions stand out as the most effective format for several reasons: 1. 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠: They foster genuine dialogue, allowing participants to share their insights and experiences. 2. 𝐈𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞: Every voice is heard, encouraging diverse perspectives and innovative ideas. 3. 𝐅𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈𝐧-𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐡: They allow for deep dives into specific topics, leading to richer and more meaningful discussions. 4. 𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐬 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐑𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩𝐬: The intimate setting helps build trust and stronger connections among participants. At RocketX, we've had the pleasure of hosting numerous roundtable discussions in Amsterdam and Berlin, and we've seen firsthand how powerful and impactful they can be. Tomorrow we will go again! We can not wait to welcome companies like Vendora, Bryq, Workable, Krotos, Ferryhopper and many more to have a meaningfull discussion about their journeys in the Greek Talent Ecosystem! 🔄 Curious to hear how others stay in touch with their partners, any event types I have overlooked? Share your thoughts and experiences with roundtable discussions in the comments below! #EventPlanning #RoundtableDiscussion #AudienceEngagement #Networking #BusinessGrowth #GreekTalentEcosystem

Excited to announce that I'll be attending AFROTECH for the third consecutive year! 🎉 Each time I've attended, I've gained valuable insights, cementing this conference's spot on my annual must-attend list. While I typically go with the flow 🌊 , after attending several major conferences like this one, I've realized the importance of preparation. There are tons of exclusive company-sponsored events, on the spot interviews, and more, all reserved for those who came ready so they didn't have to get ready! 🚨 Some Key Tips to Get Prepared 🚨 🔑 Research: The conference schedule is live (https://lnkd.in/g_Ega8Ec) and includes all sessions and associated speaker information. Start identifying relevant talks you may want to listen in on. Some sessions allow time for a Q&A at the end, so going into these spaces knowing what you want to get out of it will maximize your chances of leaving with just that! 🔑 Plan: Create a daily schedule to ensure you see everything you want to. Select backup options as well, as most of the popular sessions will reach capacity. 🔑 Use social media: Find the conference's hashtag and use it to search for event-related discussions on social media. You may come across some of those exclusive events like private dinners and happy hours, giving you prime opportunity to directly connect with employees at your target companies, looking to share how the steps to get in! 🔑 Network: This should go without saying, but have your tools ready! Make sure your LinkedIn is up to date and doesn't have a profile photo that you're embarrassed of 😅 . Most companies have digital QR codes where you can apply to their talent networks directly from the booth, so have a copy of your resume saved to your phone for quick access. 🔑 Be intentional: If you don't know what you're looking for, how will you find it? If you are targeting a specific role, be sure your resume is up to date and ready to submit. Review the list of companies that will be in attendance and their current open roles. Most companies allow the ability to apply to direct roles or join their talent networks beforehand, which can result in on the spot interviews at the conference. 🔑 Follow up: After the conference, connect with new contacts via LinkedIn, email, and continue conversations. ➕ Bonus Tips: 💡 Wear comfortable shoes: Show up as your best self, but leave the painful shoes at home! You do not want to miss out an opportunity because you need to go rest your feet. 💡 Drink Responsibly: Many companies will offer corporate sponsored networking events and many of these include an open bar. Be sure to keep it very demure, very cutesy ✨ Can't wait to see y'all in Houston! 🤠 #AFROTECH #TechConference #Preparation #Networking #MinoritiesinTech

I came across this quote on the train ride home from the Human Connection Summit on Wednesday, and thought it was too fitting not to share. In a world plagued by so many things that make it easy to feel like you don’t matter, it’s nice to have a reminder that you do. Most of us can easily identify the people who have shaped our lives, both in big ways and in small ways, but it's easy to forget that we're that person for others too. Just looking at The Human Connection Summit as an example, there were people in attendance who have left their mark on me in big and small ways. For example, I was happy to get to connect with colleagues from my Yellowdig team and our partners who have played various roles in my life: colleague, friend, and mentor. I was also thrilled that my former professor, who taught me much of what I know about #SocialEntrepreneurship, Stephanie Raible, was able to attend. Stephanie and my colleagues are people who have shaped me to be who I am today. Also in attendance were many people who I've only recently gotten to know or were completely new faces. Each one of them has still left a mark on me. From those who inspired me with their passion, made me re-think, to those who simply made my day a little brighter. I guess all I'm trying to say is that you matter. The connections you make matter. Big or small, you can be a light in the lives of those you meet. Who will you shine your light for today? #HumanConnection #HumanConnectionSummit #LearnTogether Shoutout to my YD colleagues who were able to make it to the summit: Shaunak Roy Janeen Galligan Brian Verdine, Ph.D. Holly Owens Bob Ertischek Jon Miron José Arguello
