Today we want to honor some incredible athletes for National Girls & Women in Sports Day! This day reminds us to recognize female athletes and to advocate for equality for women and girls in sports. Here are six amazing athletes: 1. Nicky Nieves, Sitting Volleyball gold medalist of the Paralympic Games Rio 2016 and owner, founder and creator of Limitless People Inc. 2. Kaori Sakamoto, 2022 Olympic bronze medalist and one of only four women to win two consecutive world titles. 3. Alexa Grasso, Mixed Martial Artist (MMA) currently with 16 wins and only 3 losses became the first Mexican UFC women’s champion on March 4, 2023. 4. Arisa Trew, at 13 years old is the first female skateboarder to land a 720 in a competition, which requires the skater to complete two full rotations while in the air. 5. Faith Kipyegon, Kenyan middle- and long-distance runner became the 1st woman to win four 1500m titles at the Track and Field World Championship and a two-time Olympic gold medalist. 6. Kendall Gretsch, triathlete and biathlete gold medalist of the World Para Snow Sports Championships and World Champion runner up in the 2022 World Triathlon.
