This project was an enriching and thought-provoking journey with my co-authors, Jen Hsien Hsu and Irem Yoruk, PhD, where we mapped out the stages of consumer forgiveness, analyzed the underlying mechanisms, and proposed new directions for research in this area. I’m pleased to share that our recent paper, “Consumer Forgiveness: A Literature Review and Research Agenda,” has been accepted for publication in Psychology and Marketing. In this study, we took a deep dive into the literature on consumer forgiveness, mapping out key stages in the forgiveness process, systematically analysing the mediators and moderators that shape this process, and proposing future research avenues.
