🌍 Driving Sustainability in Chemical Manufacturing We’re excited to unveil our latest projects in the chemical manufacturing sector, designed with a deep commitment to environmental responsibility and resource recovery. Our initiative introduces two advanced treatment processes, both focused on reclaiming valuable materials and reducing our environmental footprint: 1️⃣ Calcium Chloride (CaCl₂) Treatment: Aiming to reduce Total Organic Carbon (TOC) from 10,000 ppm to just 300 ppm, this process enables valuable material recovery and reintroduction into the cycle. It utilizes an integrated setup of: Pre-treatment units Steam stripper Advanced Oxidation Process (AOP): Multi-stage reactors, ozonators, UV lights, and advanced filtration, all working together for high-efficiency recovery. 2️⃣ Sodium Chloride (NaCl) Separation: Our second process focuses on separating salt through an evaporation method. Using an Agitated Thin Film Dryer (ATFD) and steam stripping, we efficiently recover NaCl for reuse, significantly reducing waste. These initiatives underscore our dedication to sustainable innovation within chemical manufacturing. 🔹 Enhancing Sludge Separation with Optimized Polymer Dispersion 🔹 To effectively separate sludge from water, polymers are introduced to improve the separation process. Achieving uniform polymer dispersion is essential—not only to maximize separation efficiency but also to minimize polymer usage. Different dispersion techniques show varying levels of effectiveness, especially with high molecular weight polymers. Since these polymers often have viscosities that differ significantly from sludge, achieving the right dispersion requires a higher mixing energy to ensure a thorough, even mix. The key is to reach this level without damaging the polymer or the resulting floc. As we continue to refine mixing techniques, we’re enabling more efficient, sustainable sludge separation for water treatment. We are happy to share that our work titled "Energy and Environmental Metrics-Based Comparison of Ionic Liquids/Deep Eutectic Solvents-Assisted Chemical Recycling of Waste Poly(ethylene terephthalate)" has been accepted for publication in Industrial & Engineering Chemistry. Authors: Gaurav Kumar Kishant Kumar Dr. Anand Bharti *This Review focuses on the glycolysis of PET in the presence of ILs/DESs as catalysts. *The effect of reaction conditions such as temperature, time, catalyst/PET ratio, and solvent/PET ratio are discussed. *The processes are compared using three green metrics, energy economy coefficient (ϵ), environmental factor, and environmental energy impact factor (ξ), to find the best IL/DES. *In the end, a perspective has been presented for future research in PET depolymerization. https://lnkd.in/dH54MdXm
