I'm excited to share the success of our Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) training, which held last week, organized by the Indonesia Network Learning Centers for Environmental and Social Sustainability (managed by Equator). This five-day online training was attended by 52 participants from diverse sectors and enriched with insights from expert speakers from institutions like the WB, ADB, AIIB, IIF, and other professional practitioners, both theory and practice. ESIA is essential for balancing the fast-moving development with sustainability. It helps us identify and mitigate environmental and social risks, ensuring that projects don't just meet regulations but also respect the ecosystems and communities around them, especially the affected one. The training was designed to be hands-on and interactive, with real-world case studies and simulations that let participants put ESIA principles into practice. We learned to assess project risks and design mitigation strategies, while also engaging in discussions and collaborative group work. Daily pre-test and post-tests showed participants’ growth, reflecting their deeper understanding of ESIA’s core concepts. We hope that this training could empower professionals to lead the way in sustainable development across sectors like infrastructure, energy, resource management, etc. We also hope all participant could strive to make their projects comply with the environmental and social safeguards standards. Huge thanks to all participants for their commitment, all expert speakers for sharing their valuable insights, and to my colleague for their hard work and dedication in making this training a success! #ESIA #EnvironmentalSafeguards #SocialSafeguards #CapacityBuilding #ESG #ESS #ESF #Sustainability

I am thrilled to share that I have completed the Training on the Application of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) within the Framework of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) in Economic Strategic Areas (KSE) and National Strategic Projects (PSN) organized by the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia. During this training, we delved into several topics, including the concept of ESG and the opportunities and challenges of implementing ESG in KSE and PSN, an introduction to the concept of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), and the methodology for goal and scope definition as well as best practices in LCA. This training has equipped me with invaluable knowledge and skills to better understand and implement ESG and LCA frameworks, enhancing sustainability and social responsibility. I am looking forward to applying these insights and contributing to more sustainable and responsible practices in the future. #ESG #LCA #Sustainability

📚[IIS UGM WORKSHOP]☘️ "Mainstreaming Circular Economy for Transformative and Sustainable Change" Although Circular Economy (CE) principles have been adopted as policy projects in several countries, there is a significant gap between theoretical study of CE and its practical implementation. CE project implementation often uses a top-down approach, with programs from the government to the community level. Consequently, CE is primarily understood and discussed within the framework of exchanges between elite policymakers, which still limits its accessibility and applicability to broader audiences. This workshop aims to provide an in-depth understanding of the urgency of the forum discussing mainstreaming circular economy policies. In addition, this workshop is expected to fill the gap between theory and practice in implementing CE principles in educational institutions, encourage change at the primary level, and contribute to the transformation of higher education and schools towards the Circular Economy paradigm. Join our workshop organized by IIS UGM in collaboration with the Partnership for Action on Green Economy (PAGE) through UNDP Indonesia and BAPPENAS. 🗓️Monday, May 6th 2024 ⏰10 am - 1 pm 📍Auditorium (4th Floor) FISIPOL UGM and Zoom/Livestream on FISIPOL UGM Youtube This workshop is ✨FREE✨ and open for public‼️ Register yourself through https://lnkd.in/gTqfTcEs #workshop #ekonomisirkular #circulareconomy #IISUGM #page #bappenas #undpindonesia

"Force", according to the dictionary, is defined in several contexts. It can be physical strength, the influence over outcomes, coercion that compels action, or effectiveness in achieving results. Being assigned to e-learning at first felt like a form of (coercive) force. An obligation rather than a choice. However, being an obey and optimistic member in the house, I appreciate the constructive force of learning and its potential for growth and impact as I engaged with the course. If I were not all positive, being assigned to this e-learning felt like an obligation, a forceful push. Thank God as I engaged with the content, I found how this "force" of learning about Sustainability was pretty enlightening. Learning this not only aligns with a noble cause but also reinforces the importance of using our knowledge for the greater good of "Sustainability." Just completed the LinkedIn e-learning course “Sustainability Foundations: Core Concepts” by Amy Luers! "Sustainability here, and sustainability there; Here sustainability, there sustainability, Everywhere sustainability..." 🤲🏻😘🇲🇾🌏🕌🕋☪️ #brocuba #LifeAtMMU #JomPindahCyberjaya #KuantanBoy #BabaBapaMilenial
