JE Consulting is proud to support our partner, eMQT, in championing a crucial cancer screening initiative 🌟 Nigeria, the most populous country in Africa, faces alarmingly high cancer mortality rates due to late-stage diagnoses, fear, misunderstanding, and high medical costs. Over 95% of cancer cases in Nigeria are diagnosed too late for effective treatment, exacerbating an already challenging situation. To tackle this critical issue, eMQT and the Foundation for Cancer Care in Lagos are organising cancer screening drives, starting with Breast and Cervical Cancer screening in October 2024. 🎗️ Why This Initiative is Crucial: 1. Early Detection Saves Lives: Timely screenings can significantly reduce cancer mortality by catching the disease in its early, more treatable stages. 2. Breaking Barriers: This initiative aims to overcome the fear, misunderstanding, and financial barriers that prevent many Nigerians from seeking timely medical care. 3. Community Health Empowerment: By providing accessible screenings, we empower our community with knowledge and resources to fight cancer effectively. 🙌 How You Can Help: We need your support to make this initiative a success. Join us in spreading the word, raising funds, and supporting our community. 🔗 Donate Now: https://lnkd.in/e4zbimbQ Together, we can make a difference in the fight against cancer in Nigeria. Let’s stand united in our mission to save lives and build a healthier future for all. #CancerAwareness #EarlyDetection #BreastCancer #CervicalCancer #ProstateCancer #HealthInitiative #CommunityCare #eMQT #FoundationOfCancerCareLagos #PharmaPartnership

Thalassemia is a genetic blood disorder affecting haemoglobin production. Thalassemia major (Cooley’s anaemia) is the severe form where the body cannot produce enough haemoglobin, leading to anaemia, developmental delays, and the need for regular blood transfusions. Thalassemia minor, or the carrier state, is less severe; individuals typically have no symptoms or mild anaemia but can pass the gene to their children. Both forms are inherited when mutations occur in the HBB gene, which is responsible for haemoglobin production. Diagnosis is confirmed through blood tests, and treatment depends on the severity of the condition. فرض نبھائیں ۔۔۔۔۔۔ زندگی بچائیں #Charity #Donation #Savelives #Helpinghand #Zakat #USALahore #Helpingothers #Bloodcamp #Thalassemia #Patients #Donate #Support #Poor #Needy #causes #donationsneeded #money #LUMS #LSC #PU #Universities #colleges #schools #companies #factory #blooddonationsneeded

Failing to develop a cure for a disease, that one has the technology to develop, because it doesn't make as much profit as failing to provide a cure is a travesty. Perhaps not every biotech company would make that cure, but there are other ways to develop medicines. If the profit-driven companies can't or won't do it, the public sector should. Of course the problem with that is governments seldom do anything affordably. So foundations and charities should. We're probably going to have to get better at that. Someone should figure out how and teach others. Maybe like #StJude Children's Research Hospital in Tennessee. #medicine #charity #charitywork #cure #curecancer #biotech #biotechnology

The UAE’s Shariah compliant savings and investment company National Bonds along with its partners, has introduced a new Sukuk endowment initiative aimed at financially supporting breast cancer research and treatment. The new product, called Women Sukuk, is an addition to the existing ecosystem of humanitarian initiative Sukuk Al Waqf, which was introduced in 2022. Women Sukuk allows individuals and entities to place contributions with National Bonds, the investment returns from which would then be allocated to the development of breast cancer treatment, research and awareness projects. https://lnkd.in/gFG5EHrF #REDmoney #IFN #IslamicFinance #Finance #WomenSukuk #BreastCancerAwareness #SukukAlWaqf #SocialImpact #UAEHealthcare #Philanthropy #NationalBonds #UAE

Heartfelt Appeal: Help My Nephew Hridaan Fight SMA Dear LinkedIn Community, I am reaching out today with a deeply personal and urgent request. My nephew, Hridaan, is 1.3 years old. He was born as a beautiful, healthy baby, full of life and promise. However, as he grew, it became clear that he was missing important milestones. While most children his age are starting to crawl or walk, Hridaan can only sit for short periods with assistance. After numerous medical tests, our family received heartbreaking news—Hridaan has Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA). SMA is a rare genetic disorder that affects the nerves controlling muscle movement, leading to progressive weakness and, in severe cases, can be fatal. As a family, we are doing everything we can to give Hridaan the chance he deserves, but the treatment he needs is incredibly expensive. There is a promising gene therapy, Zolgensma, that can potentially save his life, but it comes with a staggering cost. We have started a crowdfunding campaign to raise the funds needed for Hridaan’s treatment, and I am humbly asking for your support. Whether you are able to contribute financially or simply share this post to raise awareness, it will make a world of difference to Hridaan and our family. Please help us give Hridaan the chance to live a full and healthy life. Your generosity, support, and prayers mean everything to us during this difficult time. **Donation details** are linked below. Any contribution, no matter how small, will bring us closer to our goal. Here's a step-by-step guide for donating to the fight of Hridaan: 1. *Open the Donation Page*: - Go to https://lnkd.in/drNv8kFX 2. *Click on "Donate Now"*: - Find and click the "Donate Now" button on the page. 3. *Enter Donation Amount*: - In the donation amount box, enter the amount you wish to donate manually. The minimum amount is ₹250, and you can enter any amount above that. 4. *Tip Option*: - Under the "Share Some Love?" section, you will see an option to tip the platform. If you do not wish to tip, select "Others" and enter `0` manually. 5. *Enter Your Details*: - Provide your details as required on the form. 6. *Click on "Donate Now"*: - After filling in your details and donation amount, click the "Donate Now" button to complete the donation process. 7. *Tax Benefits*: - Please note that donations for the fight against SMA will qualify for 80G tax benefits in India. Thank you for your kindness and support, Ketki Ashtankar Hridaan’s Aunt #SaveHridaan #SpinalMuscularAtrophy #SMAAwareness #GeneTherapy #CrowdfundingForSMA #SupportHridaan #ZolgensmaTreatment #HelpSaveLives #RareDiseaseSupport #FightSMA #ChildHealthMatters #DonateForACause #HealthcareCrowdfunding #SMAWarrior #HopeForHridaan #GeneticDisorderAwareness #MedicalFundraising #CommunitySupport #ActOfKindness #SupportChildrenInNeed

Pakistan: Highest Rate of Breast Cancer in Asia... This was the heading of an article in a Pakistani newspaper today. The article emphasized the importance of raising awareness and stated: "Raising awareness is crucial, but saving lives through early detection is our ultimate goal." This is a goal that Breag wholeheartedly supports. However, the article surprisingly omitted a critical issue: many low-income families cannot afford essential treatment. According to the World Bank, about 25% of Pakistan’s population lives below the poverty line. While breast cancer treatments are often subsidized and free mammograms are available, the cost of biopsy needles—around €30—remains a significant barrier. For families struggling to meet their basic needs, this amount is simply unaffordable. This oversight highlights a serious gap in the fight against breast cancer. Early detection is vital, but diagnosing the specific type of cancer through a biopsy is crucial for effective treatment. Yet, this essential step remains inaccessible to many. Breag is committed to addressing this challenge. While our current sales remain modest, we are proud to donate an average of five biopsy needles per month to individuals who cannot afford them. Will this solve the problem entirely? No. But does every person supporting BREAG help make a difference in the lives of those in need? Absolutely! Meanwhile, we continue broadcasting our message loud and clear: Check Your Breasts. #CYB #Povertyreduction #Socialenterprise

DID YOU KNOW.. PET scans, essential for diagnosing, staging, and monitoring cancer, are scarce in many parts of Africa. South Africa leads with about 16 PET scanners, followed by Egypt with 12. In contrast, Nigeria has 3, Kenya 2, and Ghana 1. As cancer rates rise, the need for PET scans is growing, according to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and World Health Organization. AMCE aims to address this gap by providing PET scanning services and specialized training for healthcare professionals, enhancing cancer care across the continent. #CancerCare #PETScan #Oncology #Healthcare #AMCE #Africa
