I used a new feature of the Luma Dream Machine, Camera Motion. To do it, type "camera" or "orbit" in the prompt field, and a pull-down menu of settings will appear. When I specified the orbit in the second half of the video, it began to turn slightly. #LumaDreamMachine

The first instalment of our new mini series "Underrated/Overrated" where industry professionals share products & techniques that the industry might have overlooked or thinks is way better than it should be. Gimbals: Overrated Good gimbals are cheap and cheap gimbals are good, this means most modern creators have access to a gimbal or own one themselves. While stable footage has its place, social media has become a wash of overly stabilised videos which can leave the overall video feeling a bit soulless. Try taking your camera off the gimbal and shooting a few shots handheld, the natural shake of your hand can add a real life element to the footage and help the viewer to be more immersed in the story or mood you are trying to convey. You can also experiment with other natural movements when shooting handheld that has a less "robotic" feeling in the raw footage.
