EOLINK is making waves with the arrival of the first components for its ground-breaking 5MW floating turbine at the port of Brest, kicking off the assembly of what will be the largest floating wind turbine on the French Atlantic coast. With a team of 80 professionals from about 10 companies gearing up this spring, EOLINK's project embodies our mission at Navitas Resourcing Group: to pioneer in the clean energy sector by harnessing collaborative expertise. The ZY flywheel centrifugal friction planetary continuously variable transmission automatically changes the transmission ratio between the wind wheel and the generator, using a small flywheel to store energy to fill the peaks and valleys during wind speed changes in a short period of time. It does not require magnetic suspension bearings and vacuum, nor does it have the conversion loss between mechanical energy and electrical energy of the current flywheel battery. The cost is equivalent to that of the current wind power gearbox, allowing the generator to achieve a constant speed, thus eliminating the need for grid connection mechanisms, reduce the overall cost of wind turbines and provide pure sine wave power supply without harmonics to the power grid.

Raz Blanchard NH1 Project - France Normandie Hydroliennes is making waves with its Raz Blanchard Project in France, marking a significant step forward in decarbonization efforts. As key partner, #PROTEUS is proud to be at the forefront of this groundbreaking project and work with #NORMANDIEHYDROLIENNES to deliver the 12MW tidal turbine pilot farm in the Raz Blanchard – #NH1 Project, in 2027. The NH1 project will feature four of 3MW Proteus AR3000, the most powerful single axis commercial class tidal turbine in the world through a single export cable. This project consented will supply 15,000 habitants with clean, sustainable and predictable energy from 2027. NH1 project accounts for 12% of the EU's MREs deployment objective in 2027 (excluding wind power). With a well-defined supply chain, NH1 is a world-first achievement that promises local economic, environmental, and social benefits. "Bicycle race" Global alliances and standardisation are the New Black in the world of floating offshore wind. The panelists, Bruce Clements from the UK, Marianne Støren Berg from Norway, Sune Strøm from Denmark, Ben F. from the US and the moderator, myself, will discuss this topic tomorrow at the first panel of Floating Wind Japan 2024. The theme of this year's conference is "In the era of global interdependence". Many industry players now realise that serial manufacturing, serial assembly, serial integration and serial installation are the keys to reducing the LCOE of floating offshore wind. But how we do this is still unknown to most: - It is NOT to pick a few turbine models and floater designs and force the market to use them. - It is NOT just to give huge subsidies to a few manufacturing companies and take it for granted that the subsidies will be paid back over decades. We, the co-hosts, moderators, panellists and participants of the conference, will try to find the answers during the four opening and keynote speeches, four panel discussions and many networking sessions of the conference tomorrow. One of the hypotheses of those of us taking part in the first panel is to create a de jure standard and convergence between the certification bodies of the participating nations in order to support and encourage the continuous development of the industry using existing resources and to shorten the overall development process in order to reduce the upward volatility that is damaging to the industry. To make this hypothesis a reality, we must all contribute to each other, like members of a cycling team, and we can all wear the maillot jaune in this "race". Floating Wind Japan is the first conference dedicated to floating offshore wind in Asia and planned since 2019. This is the third one, this year.  Toda Corporation, JGC Corporation and Sumitomo Corporation Global Metals have been founding members since the first one, and this year we welcomed RWE and BlueFloat Energy as co-hosts. RWE and Blue Float are well known in the floating offshore wind industry and we are honoured to have them as co-hosts of this conference. Special thanks to Carlos Martin Rivals from Blue Float and Marta Carroza Diaz from RWE for their deep understanding of the theme and impact of this conference. It was a great opportunity to join last weeks BWO - Bundesverband Windenergie Offshore e.V. panel on the Zukunft Offshore 2024 conference in Berlin hosted by Jörg Kubitza and Stefan Thimm Thanks for great moderation by Giles Dickson and discussion with Hanns Koenig Niels Anger Ralph Brinkhaus Philipp Godron On the panel I was asked about the learnings from the European PV industry for #OffshoreWind: 👉🏼The fate of the PV industry in Europe -and especially in Germany- should be a strong warning signal for the wind industry & institutional stakeholders. 👉🏼 In a relatively short term a local industry, which was the global technology leader, was destroyed. Now our complete supply chain is fully dependent from China. 👉🏼 We basically traded short term cost benefits into a long-term energy dependency. 👉🏼 For wind power the difference is that we still have an industrial base in Europe. 👉🏼 Like other Western OEM E.g. Siemens Gamesa manufactures Offshorewind turbines in German, France, Denmark and England. In our Nacelle plant in Cuxhaven more than 1000 people are employed. 👉🏼 We heavily invest in R&D in Europe. We engage with Academia and develop new talents and skills. 👉🏼As the motto of last WindEurope conference in Bilbao, “our wind, pour value”: this if the value we bring to Society, additional to energy security 👉🏼So, ultimately, it is about implementing the Wind Power Action Plan, Net Zero Industry Act and other policies and initiatives, that shall create the appropriate frameworks, that will bring long term visible and stable volumes, ensuring that risks are well balanced along the value chain. 👉🏼It is about ensuring that fair competition and a healthy offshore market, which has proven not to be the case by cost being the only driver and pushing the supply chain to an unstoppable race to the bottom

🌊 The #North Sea can tremendously contribute to Europe's energy security and sustainability, with a plethora of projects on the horizon set to transform clean energy production. 🌬 As offshore wind capacity expands rapidly, the region is primed to become a major hub for green hydrogen production. But realising this potential it requires more than just projects — it demands coordinated action and strategic planning. ✅ That was the focus at an EPICO KlimaInnovation panel discussion taking place in Brussels at the Residence of the UK Ambassador to the EU with GASCADE Gastransport GmbH's Managing Director Christoph von dem Bussche, Klaus-Dieter Borchardt, former deputy director for energy at the EU Commission and Daniel Fraile from Hydrogen Europe.   👉 “To use the potential on the doorstep in the North and Baltic Seas, we have to promote cross-border co-operation and planning of an offshore infrastructure: The Ostende/Esbjerg process is a good framework for exchange between the involved countries.
