What can change in 11 years? As summer fades, the fair season is just around the corner. And as always, it’s taking me back to my very first exhibition in 2013. The difference is remarkable - not just in how our stand looks, but in how much we all have learned. Today, we know what to expect and the results a successful fair can bring. It was in Sial 2013 that I met some of the most trusted business partners that we are still working with today. But back in 2013, I attended it with a mix of excitement and worry. As an introvert, the idea of talking to so many people from around the world for five days straight felt daunting and even a little frightening. Add a language barrier, and the challenge seemed even greater. Now, 11 years and countless fairs later - whether it's Sial, Anuga, or Expo West - I’ve come to appreciate the chaos, vibrancy, and long days. Instead of dread, I now look forward to reconnecting with familiar faces and building new partnerships. Sial is just over a month away, and I’m eager to see what it holds for us this year. #FairSeason #CareLabDivas #InternationalBusiness

🤝 World Fair Trade Day is a perfect occasion to recognize and support the incredible artists and artisans who enrich our communities with their creativity and craftsmanship. Artists often rely on their local communities for support, and there are many ways we can come together to make a positive impact. Here’s how you can get involved locally: 1️⃣ Attend Art Fairs and Markets: Check out local events featuring fair trade artists. Your attendance and purchases directly support their work. 2️⃣ Join Art Collectives: Many cities have art collectives and co-ops that promote fair trade practices. Joining these groups helps amplify their mission and impact. 3️⃣ Volunteer Your Skills: Offer your expertise in marketing, finance, or logistics to help fair trade artists grow their businesses. 💬 Let’s build stronger communities by supporting the artists and artisans who enrich our lives. How do you support local artists? Share your tips in the comments! 💡Discover local art events and fairs with the myCulture. Connect with artists and stay updated on opportunities to support fair trade. #myCulture #WorldFairTradeDay #CommunitySupport #SupportArtists #FairTradeCommunity #myCultureApp

Why professional programs at exhibitions are often underestimated As the PR guy of IWA OutdoorClassics, I've had the privilege of organizing and attending numerous trade fairs over the years. One thing that consistently stands out to me is how often professional programs at these events are underestimated. 😮 Many attendees focus on the new products and exhibitor booths, which are undoubtedly important. However, the true gems of a trade fair often lie within the professional programs. Why Are Professional Programs So Valuable? 🧠 Knowledge Transfer: Lectures and workshops provide deep insights into current trends and developments. They are an invaluable source of knowledge that can be directly applied to practice. On top, these dates will be the one where you will face other retailers or colleagues with the same struggles or questions you might face right now, so you can share your thoughts and can profit of others help. 😊 Networking: These programs offer an excellent opportunity to connect with experts and peers. The conversations that arise here can lead to long-term professional relationships and collaborations, in our sector even into friendship. 💫 Inspiration: The topics and discussions stimulate thinking and can open up new ideas and perspectives that might be overlooked in the busy trade fair environment. My Personal Experience: Last year i moderated a discussion with Ian and Žiga about gun culture in europe. After our main part, we had a good conversation with the people who attended and got the chance to see others point of view on different things, and I found that incredibly interesting. My Recommendation: Next time you attend IWA, make time for the professional programs. Review the lecture schedule and select topics that are relevant to you and your business. You will be surprised at how much you can gain. What are your thoughts and experiences? Share them with me 👏 #IWA2025 #Networking #KnowledgeTransfer #Inspiration
