We’ve just concluded our roadshow in collaboration with České dráhy, a.s., introducing our latest technological innovation – the Škoda battery train. The first of its kind in the Czech Republic, the battery train offers eco-friendly operation, exceptional passenger comfort, and high efficiency for operators. Regions like Pilsen, Prague, Central Bohemia, and Pardubice – all eager to explore this cutting-edge technology – saw the train in action. The train we showcased is one of four currently in operation in the pioneering Moravian-Silesian region since December. A true game-changer for regional transport, this battery-powered train, built on the trusted RegioPanter platform, combines the best features, effortlessly serving electrified and non-electrified tracks with just one vehicle. #SkodaGroup #BatteryTrain #RoadShow #CzechRegions #TransportRevolution

Almost every twentieth-passenger car in circulation across Western Europe is now a plug-in, according to the latest analysis from the European Electric Car Study. Both non-EU markets, but EFTA members, #Iceland and #Norway saw the highest penetration of plug-in vehicles in operation with every third vehicle in use in Norway being capable of charging using a cord. All three price-elastic Southern European markets trail, with #Greece failing to see more than one in every hundred-passenger cars in use being a plug-in. #Portugal, the outlier, thanks to fiscal subsidies for corporate plug-ins, did slightly better than its other Southern markets. The penetration of passenger cars fitted with a #BEV or #PHEV in the #UK, boosted by the first year introduction of the 22% #ZEVmandate, surpassed #Germany in the period up to August 1, 2024. However, only five markets recorded a plug-in park figure of above 10%, and the top four of those were Nordic markets. #UIO #parc #Bestand

Norway is the world leader when it comes to the take up of electric cars, which last year accounted for nine out of 10 new vehicles sold in the country. Can other nations learn from it? For more than 75 years Oslo-based car dealership Harald A Møller has been importing Volkswagens, but early in 2024 it bid farewell to fossil fuel cars. Now all the passenger vehicles for sale in its showroom are electric (EV). https://lnkd.in/e7VHsXEu #electricvehicles #netzero #norway

⚡️Norway Says Goodbye to ICE Vehicles: New Record Month ⚡️ Breaking records again! Norway remains the indisputable leader in EV adoption, with nearly 11,000 new EVs registered in November, making up an incredible 93.6% of all new car sales. 🚘🔌 📊Some recent figures from Norway’s Road Traffic Information Council (OFV): 🔸BEVs made up 89.3% of all new cars sold in 2024 so far. 🔸10,940 new BEVs hit the roads in November. 🔸Just 5.1% of cars sold last month were non-electric – a clear sign the ICE age is fading fast. With Norway's ambitious 2025 goal to sell only zero-emission vehicles, these numbers show the country is on track to make history. 💚 What do you think is the biggest barrier to EV adoption in other European countries, and how can it be overcome?
