How can industry more effectively and genuinely partner with First Nations people to deliver much-needed renewable energy projects? Pollination's Erica Lampropoulos GAICD will join Trisha Birch from Balanggarra Aboriginal Corporation RNTBC to discuss learnings from the Aboriginal Clean Energy Partnership, at the First Nations and the Energy Transition Forum. The partnership is a new model for project development in Australia and involves traditional owner groups Balangarra Ventures, MG Corporation and the Kimberley Land Council each taking a 25% stake in the developing entity, alongside Pollination, which also holds 25%. Together, our partnership is working to deliver the East Kimberley Clean Energy Project, a renewable energy powered green hydrogen development in the top end of Western Australia. Scottish Water Horizons has successfully sold three heat-from-wastewater assets to Noventa, a renewable energy firm backed by Ancala. These assets, located in Glasgow, Stirling, and Campbeltown, mark a major step forward in the UK's drive to harness renewable energy. The acquired assets are already making a tangible impact by supplying heat to Stirling Council and Clyde Gateway's district heat networks, as well as providing power to leisure centres and wastewater treatment plants. With this acquisition, Noventa aims to upgrade the systems to boost the utilisation of heat from wastewater, thereby expanding their renewable heating capacity for more customers. 🏘️🌱 Paul Kerr, the Managing Director of Scottish Water Horizons, highlighted how this sale helps accelerate renewable energy technologies in Scotland, aligning perfectly with their strategy and the country's net-zero goals.
