The 136th Canton Fair has finally come to an end. According to the general response, the number of customers visiting the Canton Fair this time is much more than in the previous session. However, due to the weak market environment, coupled with the uncertainty of the US election, the turnover of the Canton Fair is still not high, and the willingness of customers to place orders is still not strong. Customers still ask more, require more development and less real orders. In the face of the current environment, how we adapt to the changes in the market is a problem that each of us must consider. The traditional way of marketing and developing customers can no longer adapt to the new situation. First of all, we should expand the promotion platform, not only adhering to the traditional exhibition promotion and guest visits but also increasing the promotion on new platforms and new media. Such as increasing the publicity on LinkedIn, while using new media such as Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok to expand the publicity of the company's products. While changing our traditional promotion model, we should also improve our control over the market and strive to introduce products that consumers like to the market. In the past, we copied and produced what our customers gave us. Now we want to say to our customers, what are our latest products? What latest products do we have according to market trends? Let the guests come and promote with us. At the same time, we have to dig deep into the supply chain, and strive to improve the price competitiveness of products, while constantly innovating. Only in this way can we remain invincible in the market. However, it is very difficult to realize the concept in practice. There is still a long way to go, but we are running out of time.

My 4 tips for you as a trade fair visitor (after attending 20+ international fairs): Having attended about 20+ international fairs as an exhibitor, I've seen a common trend among visitors: ⇢ Many visitors seem to wander aimlessly, missing out on opportunities for meaningful interactions and insights. My statement: take time to come prepared. With Bam Bormet set to attend the Intertraffic Amsterdam fair next week, I thought it would be helpful to share 4 tips: Tip 4: Plan your visits ⤷ Before the fair, research the exhibitors and decide which stands you want to visit. Make a schedule to ensure you have enough time for each key exhibitor, including us at Bam Bormet! Tip 3: Come with questions ⤷ Prepare specific questions you have for each exhibitor. This not only makes your visit more efficient but also allows for deeper, more meaningful conversations. Tip 2: Network actively ⤷ Fairs are not just about the products but also about the people. Plan to attend networking events or set up meetings in advance. You never know which conversation could lead to the next big opportunity. Tip 1: Follow-up ⤷ The most crucial step is often the most overlooked. After the fair, follow up with the contacts you've made. A simple message can go a long way in establishing a lasting relationship. LinkedIn, WhatsApp are excellent for this. Bonus tip: Share your digital card! ⤷ Too often, we still see physical business cards being exchanged, which, over time, tend to get lost, meaning you might not end up in someone's contact list. Therefore, create a digital business card (vcf card) and share it via WhatsApp or LinkedIn. That way, you're just one click away from being added! Think big, dream big, but don’t neglect the details. Be kind, be nice, be professional, be patient, be smart. Those are the things I keep in mind every second while knowing that there’s no perfect person in this world, however, what I can do is to keep trying to be the one. Canton Fair season is coming to an end, during the event, I met all kinds of people, socializing with them improved my mind reading skills. Now I can tell what a person desires just by looking into his eyes and shaking hands. My new clients have taught me valuable lessons, that’s a new magic thing I discovered about business, because I am just a person who tried to sell them smart toilets, but somehow most clients I get, no matter where they come from, they somehow always become my good friends. They share their valuable business experience with me, enlighten me with new ideas, and bring me new opportunities. Maybe they don’t make orders for now, but in the future, we might collaborate in other ways, you never know. For me, the ideas for selling are simple. First of all, I must believe in my own products, I can’t sell the products that I don’t believe in. Second, I never beg clients to be interested in my topic at the Canton Fair, which is quite simple. I simply look at their faces and actions, usually the people I choose to say hi, we can have a nice effective conversation together. The online potential clients and the offline ones from Canton Fair, which do you think is more valuable? This is the question I’ve been wondering. How do you feel about that?
