This morning at HLTH Europe started with an injection of energy from the ‘No place like home’ session – which was abuzz with provocative and thought-provoking discussion. 💡 The panel, comprising some of European health’s brightest care pioneers, debated whether precise data is > empathy, and if, ultimately, we can achieve harmony in a homecare revolution where – as described by Alyssa Jaffee, Partner at 7wireVentures – “tech isn't the saviour, but the enabler”. A strong theme within the session was the importance of empathy – for both patients and those caring for them. And how, for the first time, #generativeAI means tech 𝐜𝐚𝐧 be 'empathetic' offering a means to achieve the compassionate and responsive care we collectively strive for. 💡 Founder at Luscii - an OMRON Healthcare service, Prof. Daan Dohmen, PhD, was part of the dynamic panel, highlighting how AI can create 'space for time' so clinicians can do the things they are trained for – echoing insights from yesterday’s session where ambient scribe tools from TORTUS are helping Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust clinicians focus on patients rather than note-taking during appointments. 📍 Leeds, recently independently ranked as a top UK health innovation hub, is continually exploring cutting-edge approaches to care. In November 2023, the Integrated Digital Service teamed up with Luscii - an OMRON Healthcare service for a remote technology trial to help reduce the number of GP and hospital appointments for people living at home with long-term conditions. This sees people offered the necessary equipment and training to allow them to use products at home to measure their own blood pressure, weight and oxygen saturation levels. 💡 Today’s session raised important questions about how healthcare systems across Europe are funded, as noted by Luscii - an OMRON Healthcare service – typically paying per patient seen. Most of the tech in question aims to give patients more autonomy and independence in their care, so clinicians and patients don’t need such frequent in-person touchpoints, with better outcomes all round. Among the many big ideas and questions raised, the session underlined that funding models for care in the UK — and internationally — therefore need to keep pace with healthtech developments, if a homecare revolution is to hit a home run. 👉 Stay tuned for more sneak peeks from #HLTHEurope 👉 Connect with our Partnership Director, Kate Lodge who is representing Health Innovation Leeds in Amsterdam 👉 And find about Leeds at: healthinnovationleeds.com #HealthInnLeeds #HealthInnovation #GlobalHealth #DigitalHealth #HealthcareTransformation #Amsterdam2024 #HLTHEurope Christopher Mckee Chris Herbert Richard Evans

For our latest interview, we sat down with Kalle Conneryd Lundgren, chief operating officer at Livi UK (known as Kry in Sweden and Norway). Kalle discussed the health tech provider’s offering, work in the UK and beyond, and aspirations for the future. "We have proven that digital can enable better access. But now we want to go deeper. We don’t believe there is such a thing as digital or physical healthcare; it’s just healthcare. In the future, all healthcare journeys, for every patient, will have digital components and physical components. Digital when needed and physical when necessary. A combined digital-physical healthcare model is the solution to the challenges of healthcare systems and how they can improve efficiency and lower costs of care." Thanks to our amazing team for pulling this together led by James Robinson and Blair Houston. Always big thanks to our amazing Co-Founders Josh Robb and Dr Mataroria Lyndon alongside our entire team for all the mahi that continually goes into delivering the best healthcare experiences. ... Tend Health, has become one of the largest primary healthcare providers in Aotearoa through the full acquisition of Better Health group, focusing on how technology can play a crucial role in addressing the challenges facing primary care. "The group encompasses 17 medical centres with over 90,000 patients, positioning it as a leading healthcare provider in New Zealand with over 130,000 patients across the group of practices" says Cecilia Robinson, Founder & Co-CEO of Tend Health. She further adds, "Tend is committed to providing better access to primary care and improving the health and wellbeing for people across Aotearoa." Dr Graham Denyer, Chief Medical Officer at Tend Health, described Tend’s progressive care model as addressing the systemic challenges faced by both clinicians and patients, whilst maintaining the core values of primary care. "Our innovative approach to care is yielding promising results, as seen in our recent clinic integrations.” Following integration to Tend, enrolments at one Tend medical centre saw a significant ethnic shift, indicating improved accessibility to healthcare. Pacifica enrolments rose from 2% to 13%, and similarly, Maori enrolments saw a significant increase, from 8% to 18% all of new enrolments post Tend integration. This underscores Tend's commitment to addressing healthcare disparities and ensuring easier access for underrepresented communities. Ms. Robinson stated, "Tend Health is committed to using our technology to foster health equity and enhance healthcare accessibility, particularly in underserved communities and rural areas. Our proactive approach has resulted in notable achievements, such as a 20% higher immunisation rate among tamariki Māori in Auckland compared to the district average." In Aotearoa, where patients may wait up to three weeks for a GP appointment, Tend is proving that shorter wait times are achievable, both in-person and online. Dr. Denyer highlights the efficiency of Tend's digital healthcare services, which constitute 35% of all consultations. The "Online Now" urgent care service by Tend has revolutionised how consultations are accessed, providing virtual appointments with an average waiting time of merely 2.4 hours. #TendHealth #BetterTogether #InnovativeCare #HealthcareEvolution #DigitalHealthcare #PrimaryCareRevolution #CommunityWellbeing #HealthEquity #AccessForAll #TendTransformation #NewZealandHealthcare #TechInMedicine #PatientFirst #EmpoweringCommunities #HealthcareDisparities #OnlineNow #FutureOfHealthcare

𝐌𝐨𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐞 𝐂𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭 𝐀𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐭 Mobile clinics are health care units that travel from a central location to provide health care services to those in need. These units are typically equipped with a variety of medical equipment, including exam tables, diagnostic tools, and medications. Mobile clinics are designed to provide basic medical care to people in rural, underserved, or remote areas. They also may be used to provide additional health care services such as immunizations, physicals, and screenings. ✅ 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗯 𝗣𝗗𝗙 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘀: https://lnkd.in/eD3RJHYi 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐬 & 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐬 The mobile clinics market is a relatively new industry, and as such it faces a number of key restraints and challenges. These include the lack of awareness and understanding of the concept, the cost of implementing such a service, and the difficulty of finding the right staff to operate it. One of the biggest restraints in the mobile clinics market is the lack of awareness and understanding of the concept by the general public. This is due to the fact that the concept is relatively new, and has not yet been widely adopted. Many people may not fully understand the benefits of using a mobile clinic, and may be reluctant to try it. Additionally, there is also a lack of information about the services available, and how to access them. This can make it difficult for potential customers to make an informed decision. Another major challenge facing the mobile clinics market is the cost of implementation. Setting up a mobile clinic requires significant investment in infrastructure, equipment, and staffing. This can often be prohibitively expensive for many organizations, and may make it difficult to justify the cost of launching a service. Additionally, the cost of running the service on an ongoing basis can also be high, as the costs of fuel, maintenance, and staffing must be taken into account.
