Post-pandemic companies have recognized a greater appreciation of the critical impact of health on overall performance and success.  This now means the role of Chief Medical Officers (CMOs) is rapidly expanding beyond healthcare industries. The pandemic highlighted the importance of health leadership in corporate strategy, driving a nearly 19% increase in #CMO roles. A strong CMO’s medical vision and patient-centricity complement the business-driven leadership, creating a compelling value proposition as they improve #regulatorycompliance and help design more impactful #clinicalstudies while giving investors greater confidence and providing medical insight in negotiations with payers. According to CB Insights data from an insightful article, Théo Rotellini wrote in 2022, 43% of CMOs were recruited from another health tech firm, 42% came from a hospital or healthcare system, 6% came over from Pharma companies, and 9% came from academic institutions.
