The goal is to ensure a smooth and peaceful experience for attendees at concerts and similar gatherings. 1) Value Proposition: Target users: - Optimization of Uber’s operations for attendees of large-scale events like sports events, festivals and concertgoers - What is to be addressed is un-accessible mobility services due to traffics disruption that occurred during large-scale events leading to late arrivals, unattended events, disruption in local area traffic flow, major lack in ridesharing. Solution: - App based community features for event attendees such as pre-registration by knowing attendees of same route thus allowing self to be applicable for ridesharing using advanced tech (helps in providing the mobility facility consisting least slowdown with best avail of existing uberpool). - collaborating with organizers allowing technological ease pre-event. 2)💰 Business Model: Revenue Streams: Transport services(Cab, bikes, auto, bus) and Technology Key Costs: Drivers/Owners of vehicle, rentals 3) 🎮 Go-to-Market Strategy: Initial Target: concert-goers, events involving major gatherings Distribution: Conveyers, Event organizers Key Partners: Advanced technology, Partnerships with local authorities Now I’ll be working to refine this further! Nearly everyone remembers that episode in FRIENDS where Ross is shouting "PIVOT" as he, Rachel and Chandler try to take an oversized sofa up the stairs. In the business world, sometimes, you need to make the decision to pivot. Back in 2007, two friends in San Francisco noticed that whenever there was a conference at the venue close to their apartment, all the hotels were fully booked, and the demand for accommodation was high. They saw an opportunity to make a bit of extra cash by renting out their air mattress to people attending the conference. However, the two friends realised their business model wasn't sustainable unless there were frequent conferences nearby. So, they made the business decision to pivot and explore the concept of providing travellers with cheap accommodation without having to check in to a hotel. This company used to be called Air Bed and Breakfast. Now, it's called Airbnb, and approximately worth over $38 billion. The point I'm trying to make is that your business plan isn't set in stone, and the same goes for your marketing plan. We can strategise all we want, but the needs of your customers are always evolving. That’s why you need to adapt. Here, are key things to keep in mind: 1️⃣ Know your audience: Track what your target audience is saying on social media, Reddit and social forums where people can freely share their thoughts and feelings. 2️⃣ Embrace data-driven decision making: Track metrics religiously to inform your tactics. A/B test to see what works and what doesn't. Don't be afraid to scrap a campaign that isn't delivering results. 3️⃣ Be willing to pivot: Sometimes, even the best-laid plans need to be adjusted. It’s been a couple of weeks, but following some extra travel on the backend, I’ve finally had some time to decompress post-ITB Berlin. 😌 This was my first travel conference as someone not from the industry, and I found it insanely productive. 👨💻 Well worth the trip across the world, 10/10 would attend again. 🙌 Here are my key takeaways: 1️⃣ Travel industry people are really nice Travel is a relationship business, so it makes sense that everyone is happy to build relationships. As a newcomer to travel there was never a time I felt alienated or unwelcomed, and in more, it was awesome to get the friendly feedback on what we’re working on at MintPass. 🤳 2️⃣ Innovation is quietly happening in travel It’s no secret that travel is a bit slow-moving when it comes to new tech, but there are pockets of innovation brewing behind the scenes. Super excited by the conversations I had with various builders both in and out of web3. 👷♂️ 3️⃣ The travel industry is massive For anyone that hasn’t experienced Messe Berlin, imagine the largest convention center you’ve been to, and then 3x it. The industry filled that space to the brim and it was great to see so many facets of the industry from across the world all together in such a short span of time. 🌍 4️⃣ MintPass works in the travel industry NGL I was pretty nervous heading out to pitch MintPass on the startup stage taking a more techy approach to a traditional industry, but walked away with renewed enthusiasm after great feedback from panelists, attendees, and various new connections throughout the week. 🫡 A great experience all around, and already excited for the next travel industry event.
