🎄The festive season is approaching... It is the time of year when we usually get together with family and friends and traditionally wish each other a Happy New Year and ‘good health’. 🌟 However… Faced with the consequences of climate change, I would like us to consider for a few moments the significance of these words. 🤔 While voices around the world are calling for a slowdown in ecological transformation, at Veolia we are convinced that ‘good health’ goes hand in hand with protecting our environment. 🌱 In 2024, we will have completed a large number of projects that will make human activities greener and safeguard people's well-being. Wastewater treatment💧, for example, through which we help eliminate harmful substances from water discharged into the environment; local, low-carbon energy production ⚡️reducing greenhouse gas emissions; or waste recycling ♻️ which limits the pollution generated by the production of new raw materials. While we're proud of the work we've done and the progress we're making, we know that we can go even further. That's why, in 2025, we will continue to push back the boundaries, in line with the Group's #GreenUp strategy. Our goal? To decarbonise, depollute and regenerate resources in an ever more ambitious way. To turn the tide, we will continue to work closely with all our stakeholders: local authorities, industries, businesses and civil society. I would like to take this opportunity to thank our wonderful teams of Veolia Belux 👷🏾♂️👷🏻♀️👷🏻♂️ who, despite the challenges, demonstrate on a daily basis that together we can achieve great things. 👏 A special thought for my colleagues who, during the holiday season, will be working in our trucks or on our sites, at our customers' sites or in our offices to ensure the continuity of our services. Dear employees, dear partners, climate change knows no borders and no pause, and we must act now! Thanks to Veolia's solutions and our collective ability to move forward, ecological transformation is possible and I look forward to seeing where it takes us next year. Together, we trace a new path: an ecology that transforms and protects. I wish you happy holidays, a prosperous New Year and, above all, good health in an untroubled natural environment... Reflecting on Earth's Tipping Points: A Call for Collective Action This Christmas As we gather with loved ones this holiday season, it's a time for reflection and gratitude. But amidst the festive cheer, it's also crucial to acknowledge the state of our planet and the urgent need for sustainable solutions and actions. The concept of "Earth's tipping points" – critical thresholds that, once crossed, can lead to irreversible changes in the climate system – looms large. From melting glaciers and deforestation to ocean acidification and biodiversity loss, the warning signs are clear. Yet, this Christmas, let's also focus on the solutions and the growing momentum for change. The rise of the circular economy and regenerative practices offer beacons of hope. By embracing closed-loop systems, minimizing waste, and restoring natural ecosystems, we can pave the way for a more sustainable future. Imagine a world where products are designed for longevity and recyclability, where waste is seen as a resource, and where businesses prioritize environmental and social responsibility. This vision is within reach, but it requires collective action and a commitment to innovation and willingness for change. This Christmas, let's renew our commitment to sustainability and embrace the principles of the circular and regenerative economy. Let's support businesses and projects that prioritize these values and make conscious choices in our own lives. https://lnkd.in/eMSYKUum I wish you all a joyous Christmas filled with warmth, love, and hope for a brighter future. May the New Year bring us closer to a world where sustainability is not just a goal, but a way of life. #sustainability #climatechange #circulareconomy #regenerativeeconomy #collectiveaction #climateaction #sustainablefuture #christmas #newyear #mindfullnessproject

A Christmas That Makes a Difference! This year, we’ve chosen to do something special for our distributors: we’re gifting them trees. But it’s more than a gift, it’s the beginning of a project close to our hearts: reforestation. We’ve just planted our first 50 trees, a small step that’s already starting to make an impact by reducing CO₂ and giving a little oxygen back to the planet. We know there’s still a long way to go, but every tree planted is a tangible sign of our commitment to a more sustainable future. Through this project, we aim not only to help the environment but also to celebrate the bond we share with those who believe in this vision: our distributors, partners in positive change. Because every great forest begins with a single seed.

It’s time to have fun, celebrate, and appreciate all the wins (and lessons) the year gave us. But hear me out… I’m not here to kill the vibe. Nope, the parties are safe! 😎🎊 I’m just saying: What if we have fun and still show a little love to our planet? 🌍 Because let’s be honest, the amount of waste we generate during Detty December is wild. -Plastic gift wraps. -Disposable party cups and plates. -Leftover food dumped carelessly. -And let’s not even get started on the fireworks pollution. These things might seem inevitable, but we can do better without sacrificing the fun. I’m on a mission to make Dirty December a movement that’s fun, impactful, and sustainable. Let’s make this December memorable for more than just the parties—let’s make it a season of change. 💚 Are you in?👀 Tell me in the comments—do you agree that it’s time for a challenge like this? 👇🤗 Let’s talk! #DirtyDecember #DettyButGreen #EnvironmentalHealth #SustainableLiving #FunAndEcoFriendly
