⚠️ WE'RE NOT A CHARITY! ⚠️ We're not a charity clothes bank. And here's why that's a good thing... We're a fundraising tool for the organisations we partner with. This means for every KG of clothes recycled through your location you receive funds. This money can be used to boost your recycling and fundraising efforts or goals that you've set with the help of our team! Whether that's refurbishing a classroom. Putting money towards a new minibus. Taking a group of kids or adults on a trip. Having a clothes bank at your location is a brilliant, fun, and easy way of creating a self-sufficient, long-term source of income. P.S We even allow our partners to place clothes banks at multiple locations, this gives them an even better chance of fundraising towards their goals. #fundraiseandrecycle #notacharity #fundraisingtool

🌍♻️ Happy #TossItTuesday! This week, let’s focus on sustainability and decluttering. Check your cabinets for water bottles that are just collecting dust. We all have those bottles we’ve received as gifts or giveaways and never used. Why not give them a new life? 🤝 Donate your unused water bottles to a local charity, school, or community center where they can be put to good use. Snap a picture of the bottles you're donating and share it to inspire others! Let’s make generosity and decluttering part of our routine. #DeclutterForGood #DonateDontWaste #SustainableLiving #GotClutterGetOrganized

Spring has well and truly sprung! Time to throw open the windows, let in the fresh air, and tackle that ever-growing mountain of clothes in your wardrobe. 👚 👗 But instead of tossing out those unworn items, consider the power of clothes donation! Donating clothes is a fantastic way to declutter your space, give pre-loved garments a new life, and support a worthy cause – all at the same time. Here are a few things to consider before you donate: ⬇️ ✅ Declutter with a Purpose: Sort through your clothes and identify items that no longer fit, haven't been worn in a year, or are simply no longer your style. ✅ Quality Check: Ensure donated clothes are clean, undamaged, and in good condition. Ripped or stained items may not be suitable for reuse. ✅ Think Beyond Clothing: We also accept shoes, bags, and accessories – a complete wardrobe refresh in one go! 🌍 Exciting discussions around the Greater Lincolnshire Circular Economy! I'm thrilled to highlight an incredible initiative that embodies the spirit of sustainability: A Good Thing (UK) This innovative not-for-profit is making it easier than ever for businesses to donate unwanted items to local charities through their user-friendly online platform. Imagine the possibilities: businesses can post a wide range of items they wish to pass on—everything from envelopes and kitchen utensils to furniture and even a caravan! 🚐💚 Once posted, all registered charities within a 20-mile radius receive an email alert, allowing them to express interest in the items. The donating business then has the power to choose which charity they would like to support. This concept doesn’t just promote the reuse of items, but it also delivers invaluable social value to our local community. It's a win-win for businesses and charities alike! If you're part of a business or charity in the Greater Lincolnshire area, I highly encourage you to check it out and get involved! Together, we can contribute to a more sustainable future! 💪♻️ #CircularEconomy #Sustainability #CommunityImpact #AGoodThing #GreaterLincolnshire
This week I had the pleasure of meeting Cathy B. from A Good Thing (UK) for a great discussion about circular economy. A Good Thing is such a brilliant concept, a not for profit helping businesses to easily donate unwanted items to local charities using their online platform. A business posts what they wish to pass on - this could be anything from envelopes to furniture, kitchen utensils to building supplies. Cathy tells me there's even been a caravan 😲 All the charities within a 20 mile radius who are signed up get an email informing them about the items, and they respond if they're interested. Then the business gets to choose which charity to donate to. I love this concept, delivering social value as well as keeping items in use for longer. Well who'd know it was this easy to become more sustainable & healthier. Here's how we did it. We wanted to make a difference and get healthier. We didn't want something that was onerous or unachievable. We also wanted our business partners & clients to know we care. - Signed up for trundl - Swapped the car for walking - Did our shopping more locally - Paid less than a coffee per month - Tracked as many walks as we could - Let the app register our walks and CO2 savings - Raised money for charity by just switching on the app each time we walked Our results? ➡️ 42 walks ➡️ 69 hours in nature ➡️ 192km walked ➡️ 72kg of CO2 saved If you're a business looking to - get a healthier workforce - save carbon - demonstrate your sustainability prowess - like donating to charity Then check out trundl. PS ♻️ share with your connections - it might not be for you, but it could be for them. #walk #nature #charity

Tuesday Tidy Tip: Wondering if your items are donation-worthy? Here’s my simple tip for deciding if something is worth donating: Think about wrapping it up and giving it to a friend or workmate. Then ask yourself: 𝘞𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘐 𝘣𝘦 𝘩𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘺 𝘵𝘰 𝘨𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘪𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘸𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘣𝘦 𝘩𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘺 𝘵𝘰 𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘦𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘪𝘵? If both answers are YES, then donate it! If not, it is probably time to recycle or discard of the item responsibly. Try this next time you're unsure! #declutter #sustainableliving #responsibledisposal
