I took a week off work last week, and it was wonderful. Sometimes, doing a lot of "nothing" is just what you need—especially when you're saving to move! 🏡 One day, I walked 9 miles, and on another, I spent some quality time with my Dad. These are just a few of the things I enjoy doing when I’m not out and about working. With less than 3 months left in the year, there’s so much to achieve and so many great opportunities ahead. It’s incredibly satisfying to meet people who truly appreciate our business values and the service we provide at Bowak Ltd. You know the drill, if what you’re doing isn’t working for you, get in touch. If it’s working, but you want to change it up, get in touch! We have loads to offer, and it’s all part of the package. Here's a head scratcher: Is your supplier slow to respond? Or even worse, are they not responding at all? I’ve never understood that... Get in touch and feel like you count. Our values are rooted in providing outstanding service. Oh and I can't finish off without mentioning, the launch of our fantastic NEW Catering & Hospitality Supplies Brochure Check it out below: https://lnkd.in/dGyh8H8X 📧 jogriffiths@bowak.co.uk 📱 07849 831 414 #CustomerService #Sales #Opportunities #BusinessValues #EndOfYearPush #catering #cleaning #janitorial

We're excited to spotlight David Cowley from the Tehama team! 🌟 Reach out to us if you're in the industry and interested in being featured. Q: How did you first get into the submetering/utility billing industry? A: "I was working at a business where Tehama had designed their hardware and radios. Over time, I began speaking with the Tehama team and was hired on after my firm was sold to a public company. After 11 years, I can say this was one of the best decisions I have made. The Tehama experience has been great!" Q: Where do you see the industry going in the next 12-24 months? A: "Trends are a bit harder for me to evaluate since my position involves back-end operations, production, and fulfilling customer orders. However, I can say that the volume of orders at Tehama has increased exponentially over time. This suggests that submetering has been widely adopted by property managers and owners. Additionally, studies indicate that several generations prefer multi-family living, which makes me believe we will see continued demand for submetering equipment." Q: What do you do for fun? A: "I’m an avid mountain biker and love fishing when I can find the time. I also keep a year-round garden of fruits and vegetables." David’s diverse role and commitment to excellence make him an integral part of the Tehama team. Stay tuned for more spotlights on inspiring professionals! #IndustrySpotlight #Submetering #UtilityBilling #TehamaWireless

Beautiful Saturday afternoon in #Warsaw, #Poland. Amazing restaurant. Delicious food. Garden seating with birds chirping and trees blooming. Great metaphor and example, of ‘#BodyShopping’ at it is best. This is what you get when you hire help based on cost, without talent or word of the day ‘Paroxysm’, A sudden attack or violent expression of a particular emotion or activity. I think there is a bigger question: who accepted this work? Imagine the ‘#acceptancecriteria’ that was set for this job. Be #brave, raise your hand and say ‘I SUCK’ and ‘I DONT CARE’ Welcome to today’s #outsourcing. Outsourcing is not #serviceprovider.

This semester I have learned many valuable skills working at Palmetto Moon. I learned how to better communicate with customers and provide good customer service by helping customers find items, get a dressing room ect. I’ve gotten to know a bunch of new coworkers who have helped me learn to work better with others in order to get a task done. I’ve practiced skills such as maintaining a clean work environment by taking out trash, refilling shirts, swiffering, and fixing hung shirts. I am pleased with the way I have preformed this year at my job because I feel I have learned so many new things and grown as a person. 3 Tangible work goals I can set for myself for the spring semester are picking up more shifts, talking more to customers, and going out of my way to do things that help keep the store running smoothly. First, I can pick up more shifts to not only help my coworkers who need them covered, but also to get more experience at work. Second, I can talk more to customers to ultimately give them a better shopping experience. Third, I can go out of my way to do things like organizing the clearance rounders or other things that don’t get done as much to keep the store organized. I feel confident I can do these things next semester to improve myself as a worker. #etowahwbl #georgiawblworks

We are excited to share our #FEATUREFRIDAY Corinne has been with Kalmbach Feeds Inc. for 3 years. She began her career here as a 2nd shift warehouse team member and within 6 months had been promoted to 2nd shift trainer. She was eventually promoted to our Warehouse Training Specialist and served in that role for more than a year. At the start of 2024, Corinne was promoted to Receiving Supervisor and has also played a pivotal role in the design and implementation of the new WMS. Here are some of the things we learned in our conversation with Corinne. ❓ How would you explain your role to someone who didn’t know anything about Kalmbach? I oversee the receiving and inspection of all goods, manage inventory within Warehouse 2 and 3, collaborate with other departments, and ensure efficient operations. I also supervise a great team to achieve day-to-day operations while maintaining accurate records. ❓ What drew you to work at Kalmbach? One of my best friends started working here in the purchasing department and she told me about what an amazing place it was to work. Then, I had the opportunity to spend the day at Cedar Point at the Kalmbach team member event and I remember meeting so many amazing people. I had always heard good things about the company and that day I got to experience the people firsthand. ❓ What is something you’ve learned about Kalmbach since joining the team that you think makes our organization special or unique? The people. The people in leadership will often times see more potential in you than you will see in yourself. The growth you encounter within the company is very rewarding. The people around you are supportive and uplifting. You may have a bad day, but you will never dread coming to work. ❓ Why should someone consider joining the Kalmbach team? Even if you start in a role that isn't the best fit for you, there are plenty of people that will help you find an area in which you will thrive. #KalmbachFeeds #FeedYourCareer

My first job was as an 'Inventory officer'. I monitored the stationary stock and made sure that there was no shortage of pens, paper, clips, or staplers. My KPI is the office's satisfaction rate. It is a dull job with no career path. Instead of quitting, I decided to... 1️⃣ Study the inventory lists. ↘ Learn pencil brands. ↘ Befriend stationary owner. 2️⃣ Do a satisfaction survey. ↘ Casual chat ↘ Observation. 3️⃣ Trial a new product. ↘ Second-choice brand. ↘ New vs Old brand. 4️⃣ Collect the data. ↘ Lifetime usage. ↘ Defected tendency. ↘ Price vs Value graph. After 3 months, not only I... - Cut down 30% expense. - Get a better payment term. - Passed the probation period. Also I... - Found the reason (value) to show up. - Got to know friends from different industries. - Earned a chance for a new project worth 6 figures. (I was 23!)
