📽 How to Get Colleagues on Board for Video Content 1. First off, don’t force it. Respect your coworkers’ comfort with being on camera. If they’re up for it, remember there are many options besides quick vertical clips. 2. Respond to their ideas. When colleagues suggest participating, listen to their input and plan a concept that aligns with your social media goals. 3. Be flexible with their schedule. Filming may need rescheduling, and that’s okay. Set the shoot in the calendar, and have all technical prep ready. For example, we've rescheduled this filming 3 times and all is well! 4. Help them prepare. They may not know what looks good on camera. Share tips on clothing and makeup that work best on screen. 5. Remind them. Twice! A little reminder lets them prepare and show up looking camera-ready. 6. Bring the energy. As director-for-the-day, your energy sets the tone. A relaxed vibe makes it more likely they’ll jump in next time. Next time, I’ll share a story from my past work, where we turned some of our most camera-shy colleagues into standout social media stars — and everyone loved the results!
