It was a great experience to visit SMT Connect and especially PCIM in Nuremberg last week. Having attended these fairs for several years, it's evident that the number of SMT Connect exhibitors has decreased since the covid lockdown in 2020. It seems they are allocating more marketing budget to PRODUCTRONICA in Munich instead. Luckily, the parallel PCIM fair this year was fantastic and has seen tremendous growth. The increasing focus in Europe on green energy and electric cars has significantly boosted the international PCIM event, making it a crucial meeting place for engineers involved in power electronics, intelligent movement, renewable energy, and energy management. Participating in the Nuremberg PCIM / SMT Connect fairs continues to be a valuable choice, given the evolving trends and opportunities in the industry. #smtconnect #pcim #technologytrends #equipmentresearch #powerelectronics #electronicsmanufacturing #smtpcb #hardware #electromechanics #DfX #pcb #sparring #consultancyservices

📢 Meet our pilots! 📢 The 🔌 SuperGrid Institute ⚡ is a world-class expert in high voltage direct current and medium voltage direct current systems and technologies. FLAGCHIP’s first pilot will be hosted in the institute’s test laboratories 🥼 . It will be based on a bidirectional DC/DC converter (1.5kV/10kV 250kW) which SuperGrid will have developed under the #FOR2ENSICS EU project. Yet! We do not stop there. SuperGrid’s pilot will also test CH&M 💊 functionality through an AC power cycling bench, which will be upgraded to suit the FLAGCHIP devices from 1.2kV up to 3.3kV and the frequency to 10 kHz to be consistent with SiC MOSFETs. #supergrid #flagchip-project #HorizonEurope #PowerElectronics #Semiconductors #PowerModules CIRCE - Centro Tecnológico SINTEF Energy Research SuperGrid Institute University of Nottingham INSA Lyon - Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Lyon CNRS Q-PLAN INTERNATIONAL Hochschule für angewandte Wissenschaften Kempten Cyprus University of Technology Hitachi Energy mqSemi Mitsubishi Electric R&D Centre Europe - France
