Turchetti emphasized the transformative impact of this technology: "Thermal energy storage is clearly key in addressing the challenge of providing a firm energy supply for industrial processes, which may be difficult to achieve using non-programmable renewable sources such as solar and wind". He highlighted how #ETES Electric Thermal Energy Storage systems bridge different renewable sources, fostering flexibility in energy management: "Electric thermal energy storage systems, like MGTES, enable flexibility by allowing coupling between different #RenewableEnergy sources, such as concentrating solar and PV, acting as a crucial link to enhance system adaptability in the energy transition".
