As we find ways to raise awareness and improve our relationship with our planet’s natural balance, we are also taking steps toward a potential future as a multiplanetary species. The problem often seems to be this: instead of changing our ways to prevent self-destruction, the mindset shifts to one of escape. I get it. We are, after all, human. I do what I can to transition towards a more sustainable life, every day, keeping in mind what I consume and how I act. I do it for my daughters. Or maybe I’m just buying time, giving those venturing into space a chance to build a bridge that might sustain our species, on this planet or another. In any case: good luck to us all.
