Finding a balance, when you are early days starting a business is hard. But it's important to get some sort of balance. Little one has been staying with family most the holidays, meaning I could do longer days. But today, I'm spending some time with the family (and of course answering important emails and calls) It may be tough at times, but I love it! start up life, with a young family 😍 #startuplife #worklifebalance #Iloveit

Starting a business is not just about the work; it’s about the journey. From the first step to the latest milestone, every challenge becomes a story, and every success adds to the foundation of growth. When you build something with a close friend, it’s more than just business — it’s about shared vision, commitment, and hustle. The early mornings and late nights become part of your shared history, and each new achievement reminds you of how far you’ve come. With each step, whether hiring the first employee or moving into a bigger office, you realize that growth is a process. It’s not just about numbers or profits, but about building something meaningful, together. Memories are made in the hustle. What starts as an idea can become so much more when you commit to the work. Every milestone is a testament to resilience, determination, and the power of partnership. 🚨Check the link in the bio. #businessjourney #entrepreneurlife #dreambig #startuphustle #buildingsuccess

The conventional notion of success often involves relentless hard work, long hours, and sacrificing personal life. However, this notion is flawed. True success lies in building a sustainable business that provides freedom and flexibility, allowing you to enjoy life, spend time with loved ones, and pursue passions. Instead of dreading work, you should wake up excited about the opportunities it presents. You should be able to attend social events without guilt and maintain a healthy work-life balance. This kind of success is truly fulfilling in today's world. If your business affords you such freedom, you are already a successful entrepreneur. ♻️Want to design a business that enhances your life? Hustle culture and working 24/7 isn’t for me. Here’s why. Although it’s important to make the most of every single day. I find myself lying in on Sundays to take it easy and have a slower start. Because I’ve come to appreciate the importance of rewarding myself every once in a while. And this is heavily underlooked in the entrepreneurship space. Where taking time to rest is seen as “not wanting it enough”. Making people feel bad for detaching from work. So here’s the 3 ways I’ve detached from work: 1 → Going for regular walks Going for walks has massively helped me detach from work and give myself time to appreciate what I have. 2 → Staying physically fit The gym has been my favorite way to relieve stress and build my confidence throughout my busy days. 3 → Staying in contact with friends Building a business can be isolating sometimes so I’ve made it a priority to contact those close to me. Are you for or against hustle culture?

➡️ Why I schedule my breaks! Running a business, doing the work, organizing administration, and balancing free time can be super tricky. Adding to this, that I am chronically ill, spending a lot of time in hospitals and needing to pace myself, time is my biggest commodity! When starting my science communication business, Zeeks, in 2022, I struggled to separate work from my free time. And even though I love my work, this is not sustainable. And there will always be more work to do. And because I depend more than anything on my calendar, the logical thing was to schedule breaks. This means I have time blocks that actively remind me to step away from my laptop and work. What's your hack to a better work-life balance? #smallBusiness #smallBiz #enterpreneur #solopreneur #business #startup

It's now 6 months since I left the full-time working world. Here's how August went (and what it taught me!). ✅ Won another one-off project while I was away. ↳ Your business won't fall apart if you take a step back every once in a while. ✅ Hit 1,000 TikTok followers. ↳ Posting 2-3 times helps if you want to achieve faster growth. ✅ Finalised a super exciting project that will be launched this week and really level up the business. ↳ Investments might feel scary, but they are so worth it. ✅ We did our first business photoshoot (I was super nervous about this!) ↳ Getting out of your comfort zone is a positive thing. 📉 I have had ZERO work-life balance. ↳ Entrepreneurship is like a marathon, there are times when you need to pick up the pace and times when you need to learn to slow down. 📉 Really neglected my health. ↳ Exercising is super important to maintain a clear head. 📉 I didn't spend much time with friends and family at all. ↳ Spending time with loved ones helps pull you through the tough times. I like to share these every month to bring some reality to your feed. Entrepreneurship isn't always: 100k months. 2 hour work days. Working from a beach. It can be gruelling at times. But the highs definitely make the hard times worth it. Share one of your wins from August below!
