4 underlying reasons your online apps don’t get noticed. 99% of job seekers I speak to don’t start with a proper strategy. Then they pay to work with me on this roadmap: →Clearly defining value offering and expectations. →Targeting specific companies/roles that align with their values. →Applying for fewer & targeted jobs; investing more time in quality apps. →Identifying a reaching out to the hiring team through a personalized email. They pay full attention to: Thoroughly reading and absorbing the job description. And demonstrating the most relevant keywords/requirements. And making sure, their resume is easy to read and clearly conveys message. ✌️That’s it! They schedule multiple interviews in under 14 days. Online apps work if you focus on quality. But without a strategy, you’re wasting your time. #jobsearchtips #onlineapplications #jobseekers
Online applications done properly can yield results. This means customizing your application for each job and sending a follow up message to the recruiter to flag your application. Having said that, online applications should only represent 10% of your job search strategy. The rest of your time should be spent networking and building your brand to attract the right opportunities.
"Applying for fewer & targeted jobs"- this one often gets overlooked. There are a lot of people hooked on the spray-and-pray approach, but you just get lost in the pool of applicants. Busy work doesn't necessarily mean you are making progress, being targeted and communicating your value is what will get attention. Great callout Zohaib Ahmad
A strong and actionable job search strategy gives you clear steps to follow to land your role, then you just have to follow through on it, Zohaib Ahmad!
Fewer but better applications for the win Zohaib. By focusing on roles you are qualified for and then making it crystal clear why you are the most qualified candidate is the way to go.
#5 - "online apps" If this is your only strategy then you're part of the 99% of those who're applying to the same jobs as you and just waiting to be picked. Why not start hunting instead? Morning, Zohaib, you're the man.
The more you 🎯the more likely you'll land 💵
Seems many start with NO strategy. Great advice here, Zohaib Ahmad.
If you want the JOB… Go get the JOB. Good stuff Zohaib Ahmad
"Online apps work if you focus on quality." - Well said, Zohaib! Having a clear target in mind and focusing on submitting high quality applications can absolutely be an effective strategy.
