If you know, you know! 😊 If you don’t know I’ll explain 👍🏻 Last year I tried to design an interactive virtual magic trick that would create a magical experience for people without me having to be there. The idea: I love performing magic in person for you all, but I wanted to be able to continue the magic by leaving you with something that would mean you could experience a magical effect afterwards when you’re chilling at home. After weeks of wracking my brain I came up with 2 different ideas. 🎮 The Last of Me: Playthrough Diaries 🎮 When we create, everything we consume shapes us. I'm embarking on a unique journey by delving into "The Last of Us Part 2" as a player and storyteller. I plan to dissect its masterful design and craft my narrative inspired by the experience, all while surrounded by the elements that fuel my creativity. It's similar to how Fleet Foxes' melodies have influenced my music album, subtly shaping my work. As I play this game, its narrative, visuals, and sound design blend into my creative process, creating a shared experience. Here's the plan (by the end of 2024): 1️⃣ Play through the game. Again. 2️⃣ Analyze its storytelling, mechanics, and emotional beats—what works, what inspires me, and what resonates. 3️⃣ Write my draft of a game narrative fueled by the raw experiences and lessons I uncover. Every creative project is influenced by what surrounds us. This process will help me reflect, learn, and grow as a gamer, writer, and designer. I'll share snippets from my journey here—expect thoughts on The Last of Us, insights into narrative design, and maybe a sneak peek of what I'm working on.
