3 #CryptoBros, 6 cities, a 1200 km drive, over 10 days, more than 300 people outreached.  These are just some of the numbers of the Coinshares Italian Roadshow I ran these last 2 weeks. A unique experience that allowed me to reconnect with the Italian Financial ecosystem, cities but also old and new friends after so many years away.  Thanks to Lisa Tyshchenko Townsend Lansing Brandon Mitchell James Butterfill and Luke Nolan for making this happen! 🥡 Main Takeaways 🥡 🪙 In just a little over a year after the collapse of crypto exchange FTX, Bitcoin is surging to highs not seen since the frothy bull market more than two years ago. It’s up 40% this year and crossed $63,000 on Wednesday morning. Some experts say that this rally will be different, and Bitcoin will soon surpass its record high of $69,000, reached in November 2021. ✍🏼 Take Note: This Rally is different. The arrival of big players, including $10 trillion fund manager BlackRock. Such institutional investors will drive further rallies. The January approval of spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds from BlackRock, Fidelity Investments and other finance giants has helped inject billions of inflows into the crypto markets. 🇮🇹 The good news is that cryptocurrencies are legal in Italy. The country is welcoming toward cryptocurrency enthusiasts, with a legal framework in place. Since January 2023, Italy has been strengthening cryptocurrency exchange regulations by mandating that crypto companies register with the Organismo Agenti e Mediatori (OAM), fostering transparency through a dedicated registry, and ensuring compliance with Anti-Money Laundering measures. 👴🏻 One of the most surprising and good outcomes of this roadshow was realising that most of our audience were very experienced people with an average age that you would not expect on such events. And having done a 2022 version, I had many more recommendations this year, meaning that the list virtually doubled! It’s been a whirlwind over the last two days in Hong Kong. The first 2 days were spent at Hong Kong FinTech Week where DigiFT was selected as a semi-finalist for the Global Fast-Track Web3 pitching competition out of 500+ applications from around the world. Today, we attended Circle Forum where we joined leaders in business, blockchain and policy to discuss the future of digital assets innovation. We’re now on to the next part of the week where we’ll be busy at Chainlink’s #Smartcon conference.
