I recently read an article in @Harvard Business Review that validated what I have been saying to my Professional Services clients for years… It is a core concept of our business methodology at Rainmaker Revenue & Sales The HBR article and study relate to business development practices within Professional Services firms and it Identified five distinct profiles that define how Partners within these firms approach it… Keys Findings: 👉 The profiles are equally represented across the firms studied, but their relative performance is anything but equal. 👉 4 of the 5 (representing 78% of the partners in the study) are negatively correlated with performance. 👉 Only one approach shows a positive impact on performance and revenue. Why? Because this approach consists of three key behaviours: ✅ Committing to business development, ✅ Connecting with clients and colleagues, and ✅ Creating value through collaboration.
