ZwitterCo is on a mission to solve the world's most urgent water challenges. 💧🌎
In our latest video, CEO Alex Rappaport discusses the critical role water plays in the industries driving the transition to a low-carbon economy. However, as we continue to deplete our conventional water resources, these industries face significant challenges in accessing the vast amounts of purified water they need at a low cost.
That's where ZwitterCo's breakthrough membrane technologies come in. By leveraging the power of zwitterions, we have developed fouling-resistant membranes that enable the treatment of the most challenging water and wastewaters. Our membranes have the fastest and easiest cleaning of any membrane in history, allowing for long-term operation in environments that would quickly destroy traditional membranes.
With the $58.4 million Series B funding we announced this week https://lnkd.in/e_KBQpNU , we'll be able to accelerate the development and deployment of our complete filtration solutions, empowering industry leaders to solve their water and wastewater challenges and build a future of water abundance. We're excited to work together with our customers, investors, and partners to ensure safe, clean, and affordable water for generations to come.
Check out the full video below to learn more about the importance of water in industry and how ZwitterCo is revolutionizing water treatment.

Water is the lifeblood of industry. It's the great medium that heats and cools, transports and stores, cleans and sanitizes the products that we work with every day. If you take the water from every household and every commercial center around the world, it only accounts for about 10% of the water that humans actually use. The other 90% goes to industry and agriculture. But in most industrial applications, that water gets discharged as wastewater. Nearly 500 billion gallons every day. Water plays a vital role in the industries that are critical to decarbonizing our economy. The very industries that we are relying on to mitigate the advance of climate change, industries like hydrogen production or critical mineral extraction, renewable natural gas or biomanufacturing. These industries need to access gargantuan volumes of highly purified water at low cost. The problem is, for as long as we've had industry, we've been pulling water from our groundwater, our aquifers, our rivers and our lakes. But we are drawing down these conventional water resources to depletion. The World Health Organization estimates that by 2030, we could be facing a 40% global freshwater shortfall. More than two billion people around the world are living in cities that could be facing Day Zero events in the next 10 years. We need to start thinking about our water differently. But investing in water independence is not an easy feat. Often working with more contaminated, challenging and unconventional water sources. But if we're going to purify these more challenging streams and create clean water for our industrial processes, we'll have to use membrane technologies. Membrane filtration is the globally trusted method for achieving the highest quality of water. But for the last 40 years, membrane fouling or clogging has been the Achilles heel that has limited these technologies from being applied to more challenging waters and wastewaters, but that's where breakthroughs and new technologies can make the difference and transform an industrial facilities water strategy. ZwitterCo developed a brand new class of membrane technologies that solve the number one problem with filtration clogging. By leveraging the remarkable power of zwitterions, we have made nonstick, fouling-resistant membranes that open the door to treating the most challenging wastewater and industrial surface waters. Our membranes have the fastest and easiest cleaning of any membrane in history and enable water reuse, operating for years and environments that would ruin traditional membranes in days or weeks. This change has allowed our customers to reuse water in industries like meat and poultry, ethanol, dairy, wastewater, manure and food waste digestate and bioprocessing. And we've been able to help existing filtration systems increase their efficiency, reduce their downtime, improve their sustainability metrics when processing applications like protein concentration or surface water treatment or landfill leachate where you often see organic fouling as a key limitation. And while investments in water security and independence are often driven by financial or operational outcomes, it's the people that actually make these decisions. Whether it's the plant manager, the EHS coordinator, the operations team, or the site maintenance staff, it's these individuals who have the vision for what could be possible with their facility and would be influence and capability to implement new solutions. And that's where ZwitterCo comes in. We are building an entirely new fleet of filtration products so that we can equip these leaders with the tools they need to solve their water and wastewater challenges so that together we can build a future of water abundance and we can make sure that we have safe, clean, and affordable water today, tomorrow, and for future generations.
🌟 Cooperation with BLC 🌟
The successful cooperation between Primobius and BLC is an important step towards sustainable battery production. BLC handles a large part of the dismantling and discharging of old batteries with their fully automated Deep-Discharge-System, thus providing the necessary preliminary process. These batteries are subsequently processed in our recycling facility, where they are broken down into their components and valuable materials are recovered. 🤝
Given the growing demand for electric vehicles, it is no longer sufficient to rely solely on primary raw materials. The EU Battery Directive sets clear requirements for the recycling of all old batteries to promote the circular economy in Europe. Especially in the area of vehicle batteries, which are among the most expensive and resource-intensive components of an electric vehicle, recycling is crucial. By recovering up to 95 percent of the chemical elements, costs can be reduced and valuable raw materials can be secured. 🔋 ♻
Last week, our Business Development Manager Ulf Rademacher had the opportunity to visit our partner Lukas Brandl COO BLC, to observe their excellent work, and discuss our collaboration in person. Through our cooperation, we are actively contributing to the creation of a sustainable and resource-conserving future. We look forward to continuing our successful partnership!

When we give life back to water by recycling and freeing it through our advanced “Nature Restorative“ technologies, we not only make water as a sustainable resource but also make earth a greener place to live in for the future generations.
Aquatron is a NEW BOX Approach using basic principles of Physics and this ground-breaking technology works wonders with any kind of wastewater or sea water that is fed into the system. It has the ability to purify water to drinking water standards and not just that, it also produces ORP-ve / Alkaline water Naturally.
Without using any chemical /biological / thermal treatment, MWTS’ Aquatron can make wastewater drinkable and also achieve ZLD.
