1% a Day: Laying the Groundwork for 2025

In last week’s newsletter, I mentioned that the pursuit of Personal and Professional Excellence is a continuous journey. Every day is a new opportunity to grow, learn, and challenge yourself. Imagine improving by 1% every day, not just at work but also in your health, relationships, studies, and all other important areas of life. Small changes, when done consistently, turn into major transformations.

With this in mind, this week, on December 9th and 10th, 2024, we at Manusis4 held a Strategy Workshop that marked an important moment of reflection and planning. We discussed our numbers and the results achieved in 2024, celebrated victories, and analyzed areas for improvement, always keeping a close eye on the future. It was a meeting to align, set goals, and establish guidelines for 2025, bringing new ideas and tools that will help us evolve even further in the next cycle.

Among the major changes discussed, one of them was the shift from our old OKR system to 4DX - The 4 Disciplines of Execution. Are you familiar with this methodology? 4DX is a simple but powerful approach that emphasizes focus and discipline in executing the most important strategies. After all, we know that the big challenge is not defining good ideas but implementing them consistently with real results.

For those unfamiliar, 4DX is composed of 4 disciplines:

  1. Focus on What is Truly Important: This means choosing one or two crucial goals (the so-called "WIGs" - Wildly Important Goals) that will make the greatest difference to results.
  2. Act on Lead Measures: Instead of focusing solely on final outcomes, we concentrate efforts on daily activities that drive those goals.
  3. Keep a Compelling Scoreboard: Create a visual tracking system that allows everyone to know, in real time, whether they are winning or losing.
  4. Create a Cadence of Accountability: Hold regular, short, and objective meetings where each member commits to tasks, presents progress, and adjusts plans.

This system brings us greater objectivity, clarity, and focus, making goals tangible and achievable in our day-to-day work. More than ever, we understand that success is the result of small, consistent, and well-directed actions that, when combined over time, produce extraordinary results.

And here’s another thought: it’s not just in the company that we need to set goals and tracking systems. Personal life also requires planning! Are we taking care of our individual goals? Have we defined where we want to be in 2025?

At Manusis4, our main objective for 2025 is to transform our survival mode into execution and growth mode. We will apply what we’ve learned, set clear goals, and act with discipline to achieve them.

Let’s make 2025 a memorable year, not just for Manusis4 as a company, but for each of us individually!
