10 Tips on How to Study for The CPA Exam

Here are some tips that can help you study more effectively and efficiently for the CPA:

  1. Find a quiet, distraction-free place to study. This will help you focus and avoid distractions. If you prefer white noise find your closest favorite coffee shop. Maybe Peter Olinto will be there for that cup of coffee :).
  2. Set specific goals for your study sessions. This will help you stay on track and make sure you are covering the material you need to learn.
  3. Use a variety of study methods. Some people find that they learn best by reading, while others prefer to listen to lectures or watch videos. Experiment with different study methods to find out which ones work best for you.
  4. Take breaks. It's important to give your brain a break from time to time. Taking regular breaks will help you stay focused and avoid burnout.
  5. Test yourself. One of the best ways to see how much you've learned is to test yourself on the material. Try quizzing yourself or creating flashcards to help you review the material.
  6. Get plenty of sleep. Getting enough sleep is essential for learning and memory. Make sure you are getting at least seven to eight hours of sleep each night.
  7. Stay organized. Keep your study materials organized and in one place. This will help you stay on top of your work and avoid losing important notes or materials.
  8. Record your notes on your cell phone as voice. Listen to your notes during downtime such as driving your car, running errands, gym, shopping etc.
  9. Find a support group for the CPA exam. Farhat Lectures maintain a support facebook group for CPA candidates. Join them!
  10. Use Farhat Lectures as a supplemental tool (tip 3). Farhat provides alternative explanation lectures, notes and multiple choice questions to help you quiz and test yourself (tip 5)

Overall, the key to effective studying is to find a method that works for you and to stick with it. By setting goals, using a variety of study methods, taking breaks, and staying organized, you can improve your study skills and learn more effectively.
