Musk addressed the situation on X, confirming Tesla's investigation into the explosion. "We have now confirmed that the explosion was caused by very large fireworks and/or a bomb carried in the bed of the rented Cybertruck and is unrelated to the vehicle itself," he stated.
Musk went on to praise the Cybertruck's structural integrity, noting, “The evil knuckleheads picked the wrong vehicle for a terrorist attack. Cybertruck actually contained the explosion and directed the blast upwards. Not even the glass doors of the lobby were broken.”

Trump's H-1B Tightrope Walk: Silicon Valley dreams crash into MAGA reality
US President-Elect Donald Trump finds himself in a tricky spot — less than three weeks before his inauguration, the Republican Party has seen deep fissures over the H-1B visa programme. While Elon Musk, a significant Trump donor in the 2024 election, is in favour of continuing the programme, Trump's core MAGA ('Make America Great Again') base is against it and wants the programme scrapped.
Trump, the master of 'America First,' faces a tightrope walk — keeping Silicon Valley's billions flowing while pacifying his base.
