1. Preservation Award for the Ford Nature Center

Recognized by the Cleveland Restoration Society and The American Institute of Architects (AIA) Cleveland with the Compatible Addition to an Historic Structure Award, our addition to the Ford Nature Center offers a greater connection to the site. Maintaining the structural integrity of this century-old building while introducing new views built into the landscape gives visitors an eye-opening introduction to everything Youngstown’s Metro Parks have to offer. Take a look at this “outstanding historic preservation” project here.

4. International Women in Engineering Day

#InternationalWomeninEngineeringDay | Did you know women only make up 26% of the AEC industry?

“Helping the next generation see themselves in our industry is one way that we can actively help fill the talent pool," says Senior Associate Liz (Brack) Heck, PE, SE .

Representation matters: our designers work year-round to introduce the next generation to engineering. Whether you want to deliver equity through design, master plan a net-zero energy solution, or lead research on how designed spaces influence learning, your engineering background can make you a role model. See how our team is defining the practice.

5. Reviving Harlem’s Disappearing Queer Spaces

Dozens of historical #queer landmarks and safe spaces in Harlem have been lost over time. In an effort to fight for equitable spatial preservation, designer Abriannah A. and Terry P. Vallery, Jr. spent the last year digitally rebuilding these spaces. Through their interactive app, you can step back in time to experience where Harlem's queer community thrived. Read the full interview with Abri and Terry here.

Celebrating our three-year collaboration and Accidentally Wes Anderson (AWA) 's sixth birthday this month, we are sharing an exclusive Q&A with Principal Dennis Bree, AIA, LEED AP, and the brand's founder.
