#2 - Ready for the reveal of 6 amazing speakers & 2 innovation areas?

Okay, alright, it's about d*mn time for the IMPACT NEWSLETTER!

Things are getting hot on our side 🔥☀️! Why? Because the IMPACT FESTIVAL 2022 is less than two months away! While we are entering the hot phase of planning, we decided to treat you with one extra IMPACT NEWSLETTER every month (You’re welcome 😉)! And let us tell you: This newsletter is a good one. You’ll find IMPACT CASES, new speakers and partners, insights, podcasts and more. Let’s dive in!

INNOVATION AREAS

Some of you might have asked yourselves, how we structure the IMPACT FESTIVAL contentwise. The answer is: with our seven Innovation Areas 💡! The areas are derived from the #EUGreenDeal and the #SustainableDevelopmentGoals. Let’s have a look at the first two of them. If you want to know which start-ups present their solutions in the areas, take a look at the picture!

SUSTAINABLE FINANCE & DATA

Did you know that it takes $5 to $7 trillion of annual investments to achieve the SDGs by 2030? Impressive, right? One of the core elements for this capital shift is the #EUtaxonomy. Another one is – in our opinion – to become aware of the amazing innovations and solutions that are already available. At the IMPACT FESTIVAL 2022 we present innovative forms of financing and educate about ESG and impact investing to ensure long-term investments in sustainable projects.

SUSTAINABLE SERVICES & REGULATORY TECHNOLOGY

Managing two transformations - sustainable and digital - at a time is difficult. Especially, since the European green deal has huge legal implications for almost all companies. With our innovation area “Sustainable Services & Regulatory Technology”, we present solutions to keep up with new regulations and manage the transformation within firms

IMPACT MAGAZINE

In our IMPACT MAGAZINE we want to show use cases of the solutions presented in our festival exhibition. Boreal Light GmbH was an exhibitor in 2021 and is back again this year with a large booth and a panel on water supply in off-grid communities. To learn more about Boreal Light and their amazing journey, check out our latest IMPACT CASE featuring Boreal Light and KfW.

IMPACT CASE: BOREAL LIGHT

With affordable solar water desalination systems, Boreal Light enables a stable supply of clean and hygienic water for off-grid communities around the globe.

The goal: to provide 1,000 m³ of clean water per day to 28 hospitals and health clinics. For that Boreal Light uses decentralized desalination plants, entirely powered by solar plants which are installed and operated by WaterKiosk Africa . With the use of their innovation, the situation in Kenya and Tanzania has already improved significantly. IMPACT MAGAZINE.

Some last Words

Let's end this newsletter with another quote from one of our previous speakers, Prof. Dr. Marco Te Brömmelstroet

“If you think that radical change is needed, it is not enough to go out there and change the answers. And it is not enough to change the questions either. If you want radical change, what you need to do, is to change the underlying worldview.”

If you made it until here and read everything: Congratulations! You are ready to go for IMPACT FESTIVAL 2022.

Have a great time, everyone! Until next time 🙌 (already in two weeks 😉)!
