Check job descriptions that you want to apply to find Keywords (words appear in them rapidly). Use them on your social media profiles like LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter etc. In Facebook insert them into about you, Twitter use them on your bio & when you use the LinkedIn insert them into your summary and ask for endorsements & recommendations from your colleagues.

How can you allure potential employers to check on your LinkedIn profile?

The first thing you need to have a profile picture. Most of the people won’t click on a profile unless it has a profile picture. It should be friendly looking professional headshot. Make more connection people are more likely to click on a profile with shared connections than one with no shared connections. Create a nice headline that showcases your skills & profession.

How to break the ice with strangers?

Which social media application that can use to break the ice with a stranger? Actually, there are two Facebook & Twitter they both provide the option of engaging with people that you don’t know. However twitter is more effective because it provides more access than Facebook when it comes to stranger postings. When you come to something to relate to your work or the field retweet it or make a comment. Also, you can join groups in Facebook & LinkedIn where you can discuss ideas & meet new people. After you get to know them you can ask & join into their LinkedIn network.

Other things that useful when standing out from the crowd.

Keep your profiles up to date. Regularly update your status updates on twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn etc. Engage in the conversations about your field. Be polite. Reply

Things you shouldn’t do.

Avoid public arguments. Don’t update statuses that might uncomfortable to specific types of people (race, religion, political alliance etc.). Avoid plagiarism. Do not try to show qualities you don’t have.
