AUTHENTICITY

Can you be anything but authentic in your life? This is the core of who you are.

Would you risk vulnerability to say what you need to say, to those who crossed your path and changed or enhanced the course of your life?

I would like to share a note that I had written to a gentleman who holds a special place in my professional life. I recall the day I wrote this note as if it was yesterday, but this was four years ago, on the brink of new beginnings in both of our professional lives.

Thank you for being a great boss, a valuable mentor and friend, and a wonderful person with an open heart.

I have read that we become like the people we choose to associate with; my life today is a reflection of this, and a living gratitude because of it.

You have taken the time to enhance the value of every person you meet; this I believe is our ultimate legacy we leave and take with us.

I do not wish for anything different than what I have received through grace; I learned from you and this has come in subtle tones in between the spaces of servant leadership.

I wish to thank you for having been a part of my corporate life. Now, as we move through and along our paths of opportunity, we recognize the metamorphosis to lead us to our destined potential growth.
