In 2022, our team and operations grew in leaps and bounds—we launched our high-driving automation robot and made exciting new partnerships. With our last-mile delivery robots, we rolled around new campuses and brought you closer to the things you love. To look back on a great year, we want to take you along our 2022 journey and highlight our biggest accomplishments.
- In 2022, robotic deliveries energized college communities so they could continue working hard at school and the office. We served a total of 6,942 students all over the US—the most we’ve served in a year so far. We’re incredibly thankful for the positive impact our Kiwibots made and the smiles it sparked along the way.
- We continued expanding across locations and building a safe mobility environment—we’re now present on 30 campuses in the country. Whether it was comfort food or a rushed lunch between study sessions, we’re happy we brought sustainable and innovative solutions to campus.
- This year, we connected 133 restaurants with their customers in a cost-effective and environmentally friendly way. One of our primary goals is bridging the distance between businesses and their clients with zero carbon footprint in the process.
- Our Kiwibots made their way around 41 cities across the globe. With our ongoing urban expansion, we can continue improving safe mobility and helping authorities map out municipalities to build better infrastructure. We hope to keep crossing new borders in 2023!
- We also had some pretty mindblowing pickup locations. Our Kiwibots visited people’s favorite restaurants to deliver all the treats you could possibly want: Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts, Qdoba, Subway, Pizza Hut, and Auntie Anne’s. And they even went down the celebrity lane delivering Mr. Beast Burgers, Mariah Carey’s Cookies, and Buddy V’s Cake Slices.
- All in all, we traveled 9,488 miles delivering delicious food your way—and with no gas emissions!
- We partnered with Grubhub to bring state-of-the-art technology to the app’s users. This way, more people have easier access to Kiwibots and the future of robotic deliveries.
- We also delved into advertising: Our Kiwibots became mobile advertisers at a mall in Peru with great results for the brands involved. One strategy included displaying QR codes so passersby could scan them and enjoy special discounts in select stores like Tommy Hilfiger.
Lastly, a moment that made us proud as a growing startup was being visited by the ambassador of the US to Colombia, Francisco Palmieri, in our Rionegro, Antioquia headquarters. His visit is a testament to Kiwibot’s impact on the robotics industry in Colombia and worldwide.
Stay tuned with Kiwibot’s latest achievements!
