2024: Your “Unreasonable” Year
Hi!
I have been “easygoing” all my life. When I became an entrepreneur (and later, when I re-married), I learned something so important that I posted it to my Instagram (@CoachKeren) – which soon became one of my most popular posts of all time.
I learned that being "easygoing" impeded all my success, and posted why you, too, should consider becoming “unreasonable” in 2024 to reach your destiny. Here are those reasons:
1. The price you pay for being “easygoing” is impossibly high: it is not getting what you want. It whittles down your will and desire and keeps you away from your destiny. You are NOT being nice. You are being SMALL. If you want the life you want, you will have to SHOW UP for it. So I say: be unreasonable!
2. Being easygoing – or, being a people pleaser – is actually a form of self-sabotage. It’s your ego’s way of keeping you “in line” (which means you do not have to change, nor risk rejection) instead of GOING BIG. This makes you focus way too much on the needs, whims, and opinions of other people and NOT on your dreams, passions, and desires. Quit that.
3. Your level of audacity, courage, and confidence to go PAST people pleasing and to OWN what you want will dictate HOW big you go in 2024. Here, too, be a little “unreasonable.”
4. Get this: there will always be someone funnier, smarter and richer than you – and as long as you focus on them, breaking past them will seem ridiculous. But you MUST be ridiculous, or “unreasonable,” and the way to do this is NOT by telling yourself you are actually way cooler than them, but by understanding that YOU are the funnier, smarter one to a lot of people, too! When you do this, you run by an internal, not external scorecard – making it much easier to go big.
5. Many people think that all the above are awesome, but still don’t want to go big because it sounds like they will need to be LOUD. And yeah, you will. Because even mediocre people who work loudly (show up/ promote their work) way outperform those who work quietly – just because they are willing to SHOW UP. They are willing to be “unreasonable,” to disturb that status quo, and they break through. Now, you may take issue with that. And you may be right – it’s not fair, and perhaps it’s even a tad uncouth. That still is reality. So I say – get as loud as you can.
6. Reasonable people think: “I can’t do that,” when standing at the edge of something they have never done, and they are correct. But here’s the deal: anyone who ever did anything new did it without knowing what they were doing. They still learned – through mistakes and through the doing. You can, too. Which makes the exact OPPOSITE stance way more reasonable, don’t you think?
My message to you today is simple:

I did not get here by being reasonable or easygoing, and each year in this career, and in my personal life – I have expanded and found more success and more joy by daring to be more and more UNREASONABLE.
Whatever it is you truly want this year, do yourself a favor and ACTUALLY GO ALL IN ON IT. Even if it’s bananas. Even if it’s expensive. Especially if others don’t get it. Do it for you.
This is your life.
And this way, if it doesn’t work out (the 1st time… trust me, it eventually will)- you will be able to say: I WENT FOR IT.
At the end of the day, the person who DARES to be unreasonable is the person who achieves the extraordinary.
Make this your UNREASONABLE year.
I hope this message resonated with you. If you are ready to talk about shattering through all the limitations and going all in, get on my calendar. I’d love to chat.
To unreasonableness,
Coach Keren
