22 Tips That Helped Me Grow My Solopreneur Business and Be Healthier + Happier in 2022

Hello there,

This isn't my yearly review, but some super easy tips that helped me live a better life and I hope they help you too.

I hope they help you reflect on 2022 so far and plan for 2023 ahead.

Also, I just opened the pre-order for my course - LinkedIn Ultimate Content Mastery. Click here and use the code PREORDER for 50% off.

Now, let's get started :)

  1. Use money to buy time: I come from a very Indian mindset where we try to save everything we have because we grew up with less money and all generations have seen their parents struggle. I now use money to buy time — whether it’s scheduling content or outsourcing work. Owning your time is priceless.
  2. The mute button is a mental health hack: for people you absolutely cannot unfollow, let go of the stuff that makes you feel inadequate. Why be inadequate when you can be abundant?
  3. Reduce the time between idea and execution: that’s where self-doubt creeps in and screws with you.
  4. Travel: it’s difficult to rest when you’re a solopreneur. I took 4 weeks off in August to travel across 6 countries in Europe — best decision ever. Came back rejuvenated with more ideas and my finances didn’t take a hit either.
  5. Let go of energy drainers: for me, that meant freelancing, too many people in my cohort-based course, expecting from people who I thought were friends but wouldn’t even wish me on my birthday.
  6. Frequent mini dates: Do you know why your best ideas come in the shower? Because you’re undisturbed. Be in that state more often (with or without the shower is on you…)
  7. Your trolls are jealous: once I was butthurt about my trolls and Tim Denning told me: “they troll you because they want something you have.” As I grew, the trolls increased. Talking about growth…
  8. Don’t let it get to your head: I grew immensely this year on LinkedIn – but it’s just a platform, that’s all. Don’t use fancy social media metrics to get gratification. It’s not real.
  9. Forgive: for your own sanity, not for theirs.
  10. It’s ok to not meet the flex trend: I read the least this year and hardly listened to podcasts. And that’s okay, because life happens.
  11. Be nice to your mom: and grandmom, they aren’t there forever.
  12. Know what's truly important: I sometimes get a weird look for working 4 hours a day. But imagine working more and maybe making more money and not having time for your family or yourself. What's the point? Don’t forget to remind yourself what truly counts.
  13. Starting is the toughest: I wanted to start a YouTube channel this year but didn’t have the guts to start. I started it this October and have recorded 20+ videos since. The first step is the toughest, and then it gets much easier.
  14. Eat at 7:30 pm: your abdomen will get leaner in a few weeks.
  15. Active recovery is better than rest: rest when needed, but going on a walk or just stretching on rest days feels better and uplifting.
  16. Be okay with your weird streak: I’m into crystals, horoscopes, the universe, and hardcore into the law of attraction. I know it's weird and I’m okay with being that definition of ‘weird’.
  17. Follow your own definition: this year has made me realise that my definition of success is different. It’s more than work and holds a high value for relationships, travelling and being able to do nothing at all sometimes. Maybe that’s not society’s definition, and that’s okay.
  18. Recognise: your burnout, your anxiety, and patterns of your mental health. And then analyse how you can change it.
  19. Love: if your own cup of love is empty, how can you love others? Fill your cup and then pour it onto everyone around you.
  20. “Oh, you’re so nice in person too”: make this a life goal to hear every time you hang out with somebody you meet online.
  21. More carrots: munching on raw vegetables with hummus is yummy and healthy too
  22. Frequency: vibrate in gratitude and abundance and have the right intention. Become the universe’s unstoppable force and joy will be your natural state of living.

My priority for 2023 is to dive deeper into knowing myself and be in a flow state more often. I want to truly understand and unleash my potential and learn more about topics that excite me.

I want to impact more people.

I want to do more strength training to get stronger and leaner.

But in that process, I also want to stay aligned with my core values and continue to have a joyful day full of fun and family time every day.

And because I got married a month ago, I’m excited about what this new chapter unfolds.
