3 Amazing Podcasts To Try Right Now
I don’t want to toot my horn too much, but I’m a lot like Einstein … Well, in terms of being a visual learner, anyway. And with all the visual media available 24/7 at our fingertips these days, it’s a great time to be a visual learner.Unless … you’re crazy busy like me. In which case, it gets pretty frustrating. And since I’m certainly not going to stop learning, I had to find an alternative source for my knowledge cravings. Hello, podcasts! And best of all, I can do it on-the-run: grocery shopping, jogging, at the park, driving, just about any time. So, for all you insanely busy, multi-taskers out there …
Here’s the top 3 digital podcasts that keep me connected, informed, and entertained in this mad, mad, mad world of ours!
Six Pixels Separation Marketing
The host is Mitch Joel. And if you’re a digital marketing nerd/ninja like me, you know that Joel is the CEO of a highly-respected digital marketing agency and one of the most visionary digital leaders in our industry. He’s also a role model of mine.
During his podcast, he reviews all the trending topics of digital media, like social TV, IOT, Big data etc. And he does it in a very informative and thought-provoking way. It’s a great podcast for strategists and managers familiarizing themselves with emerging trends or seeking the big lines for their upcoming marketing strategies.
If you’re involved with digital and particularly in social (which is probably the case if you’re reading me) you’ve probably come across a blog post from Social Media Examiner. Turns out, they’re also behind the Social Media Marketing podcast! Good news, because they excel at creating “how-to posts.” And if you’re like me, you WANT useful information that works in the real world. So get onboard and inject your day-to-day marketing with actionable tips and insights. See you there!
This is where the feminist in me stands up and says, “YO!” But seriously, there was clearly a Y-chromosome marketing slot waiting to be filled, and Carrie Kerpen, CEO of Likeable Media stood up to be counted! She recognized that female thought leaders don’t receive the recognition they deserve, so she decided to showcase them. It’s about women who had the courage to build their own businesses and follow their passions. And how social media helped them turn that passion into success. So if you’re looking for mentorship, purpose, and developmental and professional success, then definitely have a listen.
I read somewhere that podcasts were about observing minds at work and diving into REAL and HONEST conversations. I couldn’t agree more. So if you want to dive further into those sparked enthusiastic conversations, supplement the above listed podcasts with these bad boys: Below the Fold, Oh so Pinteresting, and Marketing Smarts.

8yExcellent recommendations! I do subscribe to the first two, although I find I am more likely to read than listen :)
