3 Biblical Declarations to Pray Over Your Marriage

Heavenly Father,

As I come before You, I am reminded of the love and the promises You’ve woven into the fabric of marriage. You designed it, created it, and blessed it.

Today, I declare these truths over my marriage, knowing that You are here, with me, holding our union in Your hands.

Declaration 1: United in Purpose (Matthew 19:4-6)

“‘Haven’t you read,’ He replied, ‘that at the beginning the Creator made them male and female,’ and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’? So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.’”

Lord, You brought us together, not by chance but by Your divine will. I declare that our marriage is a union designed by You, unbreakable and sacred.

May we always remember that we are no longer two separate lives but one. Let this oneness be reflected in our decisions, our conversations, and our love for each other.

Strengthen our bond, and may we always stand firm, knowing that what You have joined, no one can separate.

Declaration 2: Guided by Your Plans (Proverbs 19:21)

“Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.”

Father, I surrender our marriage to Your plans.

There are moments when we are tempted to follow our own paths, but I declare that Your purpose will always prevail in our lives. Guide us in every decision, every step we take together. Let us seek Your wisdom and direction above all, knowing that Your plans are perfect and filled with hope.

May we walk together in the purpose You have set before us, trusting in Your timing and Your ways.

Declaration 3: Strengthened by Your Presence (Ecclesiastes 4:12)

“Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.”

Lord, You are the third strand in our marriage, the One who binds us together with a love that cannot be broken.

I declare that our strength comes from You. In moments of weakness, let us lean on You and on each other. May we always remember that with You, we can face any challenge, overcome any obstacle, and stand firm against any storm.

Your presence is our fortress, and with You at the center, our marriage will remain unshaken.

Thank You, Lord, for the gift of marriage. Thank You for being the foundation upon which we stand.

As we declare these truths over our union, fill us with Your peace, Your joy, and Your everlasting love.

In Your precious name, I pray. Amen.

Great stuff here! Thanks for posting.
