3 More Reasons to Adopt Executive Communications in 2025

If you’re not planning to make executive communications a key part of your 2025 strategy, you’re missing a huge opportunity to connect with your audiences. All of them.

Last week, I shared 3 reasons to make executive communications part of your plans. You can read the article here, but if you’re pressed for time, here’s the TL;DR:

  • Trust is at a premium. People don’t trust corporate messaging, but they do trust people.
  • We want to hear from you. Your organization’s and leaders’ stories are more interesting than you think.
  • The ROI is bonkers. Executive communications is ultra-cost-effective, and it has the potential to reach a greater audience.

Still not convinced? Okay, here are 3 more reasons to include Executive Communications in your 2025 strategic plans:

You have more stories to tell than you think

One of the challenges I hear from executives and corporate communications leaders is that they don’t know what to talk about in their content. They think they’ll struggle to find interesting stories.

I call BS!

People who lead organizations have practically unlimited stories to tell. About their experiences. About their customers. About their employees.

They just need a good communicator to draw the stories out and craft them in a way that captures the audience’s attention.

It’s fun!

Executive communications is very different than any other form of marketing, PR, or communication. It’s more fun and less constraining.

If you’re the executive spokesperson, you get to say the things that you want to say, without being bound by corporate messaging strategies all the time. You get to start real conversations with real people.

If you’re a communications leader, you get to flex your muscles as a storyteller by getting away from the usual marketing BS.

Your competitors probably aren’t doing it

Chances are, if you make executive communications a part of your 2025 strategy, you’ll gain significant ground versus your competitors.

For the simple reason that they (probably) aren’t doing it.

Executive communications is the most under-utilized, cost-effective approach available. Most companies aren’t using it to its full potential. Or at all. Yet.

That means you have an opportunity to make some real headway.

Don’t pass it up!

Executive Communications is no longer a “nice-to-have.” According to the smart people at the Brunswick Group, it’s a “strategic imperative.” So if it’s not part of your 2025 plans, I urge you to rectify that.
