Great leaders aren’t born, they’re made. Leadership is a skill that can be honed and improved with practice and the right guidance. Great post Dr. David Burkus! I would also add accountability. At some point you accept that as a leader it is your job to make the tough decisions, that inevitably a certain percentage of them are going to be wrong, that it will be your fault and you will need to take responsibility for it and move on to the next decision (that also might be wrong). That is really the hard job of leaders. In my experience, most never get there.
