3 Ways to Achieve Massive Success in the Workplace

3 Ways to Achieve Massive Success in the Workplace

If there's anything I've learned during my 20 years on earth, it's that the world doesn't care about it. That's the harsh truth. Many of you may be thinking what do I mean when I say this? Well, many people fail to realize that the world only cares about what you have to offer it.

Many believe that if they play by the rules, and be a nice guy/girl, that the world is somehow going to hand them everything they want. As you may know, and if you didn't, now you do, that this isn't fully true.

I believe in the law of attraction, and I believe that being a nice person does send positive things into your life. However, in terms of being successful and achieving your dreams, this isn't enough. The world only cares about you when you're creating value. The same goes for the company you work for. Create value, and I guarantee they'll like you more.

How does one go about creating value in the workplace? I thought you'd never ask!

1). Generating Ideas that Solve Problems

One of the fastest ways to create value in the workplace is generating ideas that solve problems. CEO’s, in my opinion, are just people who get paid millions to solve some of their company's biggest problems. They’re one of the best problem solvers in the company simply. As a regular employee, the best way to move up the ladder is to generate ideas and make management take notice of them. Not only does doing this show them that you’re devoted to solving problems, but it also shows you’re not the average worker. All the average worker does is mind their own business and only do what they’re “paid” to do. They don’t even try to make a difference. By you doing this, you have just put yourself above 90% of the other employees. This puts you in a position to get that high paying position you’ve always wanted.

2). Making Something that's Good (or not) even Better

When trying to solve problems, it doesn’t have to necessarily be a problem. What do I mean by this? I mean, if there is a system set in place that works and is “good”, it can always use improvement. That’s called having an innovative mindset. Like I said before, the average worker will not even think this way. Most people who believes that something that is good requires no improvement, usually have a very limited mindset. Not much vision at all if you ask me. Massive success and true financial freedom comes to no one who lacks vision. Having the famous “that’s the way it’s always been done” mindset, will not move you forward in any way. This mindset stops you from innovating and always making improvements in every aspect of your life. It also causes complacency, which is one of the biggest killers of massive success because it causes you to settle for what life has given you so far.

3). Doing more than "Just Your  Job"

A phrase I always hear average employees say when asked to do more than what they’re paid to do is “I don’t get paid to do that”, or “that’s not my job”. This phrase is bound to piss anyone with the right mindset off. I touched on this briefly earlier in this chapter, but it’s crucial that I go more in depth. First off, having this mentality to start off with is probably one of the biggest reasons you’re not where you want to be right now. Period. People who think this way are basically saying, “I’m not doing any extra work without compensation”. Some of you-the ones who truly needs to read this- are probably thinking “no sh$# Sherlock, you should only do what you're paid to do”. Well, essentially what you’re doing is missing out on opportunities and stopping new doors from opening, whether you realize it or not. Like I stated before, think about anyone who worked their way up in corporate America or at any job for that matter. Do you think they got there by “just doing their job”? Or, do you think one of the biggest reasons they got there was due to them doing more than what they’re paid to do?

The reality behind any great achievement in life is that the reward came long after the work was put in.

Period.

Take entrepreneurs for example, they usually have to put in work for years and years before they even see their business make a profit that they can live off. It’s called paying the cost now so that you can live the life you want in the future.

Something that Andy Frisella (a very successful entrepreneur who you should all research) says all the time is “Aggressive Patience”. While working your way up the ladder at your company, you have to aggressively put in the work each and every day. While doing so, you have to remain patient and understand that everything you’re doing will eventually pay off in the future. Besides, anything worth doing takes time to build upon and achieve, or else it wasn’t anything that great or worth doing from the start. Sooner or later, instead of getting paid less for doing more, you will get paid more for doing less. These are the big positions in a corporation! Which, I’m assuming is your personal goal and overall purpose for reading this article!

To Wrap it up, these are 3 things that you can start doing TODAY to begin moving up in your corporation by creating value. Ideally, you want to have an entrepreneurial mindset. An employee with a mindset focused on growth, and building something out of limited resources, will no longer be referred to as a "employee". You're going to become the boss! I go more in depth on these subjects, and more subjects on creating value in my new E book- "Creating Value in The Workplace: How average workers become rich CEO,000,000s" available for 4.99 on Amazon! It's worth the investment, trust me!
