There are three ways you can polish your origin story; they include the following: 

• Tell, Experiment, Refine, Repeat: When you have figured out your origin story, you should never shut up about it. How many times do you see any of the persons whose personal origin stories were shared keep quiet about how they got to where they are? They never stop talking about it! Oprah’s story is repeated over and over, people all over the world know all of the details of her origin story. You should talk about it all the time until people become familiar with your story. Tell your story, watch the effect it has on individuals, refine the story if it needs refining, repeat it often. The moment you have successfully crafted your story, begin to talk and never shut up about it. Every single time you talk about it, watch how it touches you. It’s your story, it should make you cry, it’s your secret that you’re spilling, continue spilling and make sure it has the most dramatic effects on people. There are origin stories you think of and you just cry even if these stories aren’t yours. I mean look at Oprah, abused repeatedly by people she called family, look at Joyce Meyer, abused by her father, her father. You cannot tell a story that has no dramatic effect on the people listening. You have to keep telling this story, keep telling your origin story.

• Learn the techniques of story mastery: learning the techniques of story mastery means you have to keep reading everything relating to stories, read the origin stories written above, over and over, find more stories and read, read books that tell stories, listen to podcasts, watch videos, don’t stop until you are sure you’ve mastered the art of telling your story in such beautiful way.
