3X Your Creative Output with AI

3X Your Creative Output with AI

As a marketer with a chronic illness, Amanda Lien appreciates every tool capable of making her demanding professional life a wee bit simpler.

For Amanda, AI is an advisor that helps her with solid research, idea generation and marketing her content. She saves precious doing what she knows best: writing blogs and creative copy for social media posts without distractions.

Lien says AI tools have tripled her creative output month-over-month and increased her efficiency by about 30%.

These are not random numbers for effect. Amanda uses Motion, an AI-powered scheduling tool, to track her project efficiency.

Countless unsolicited advice on the internet promises to get AI to ‘behave for you.’ But we think it’s more about finding your rhythm with it.

 LET’S DIVE IN ⏬️

#1) AI CAN SCAN SOCIAL MEDIA FOR YOU

Tie your expertise to current conversations. While Reddit and TikTok can serve that purpose, scrolling rabbit holes is dangerous. It’s easy to be lost in a whirlwind of immaterial content. You take all this effort to find inconclusive answers to questions.

Leverage AI tools to get the drift of an important conversation minus the chatter.

⚙️ Recommend Tool: Use Perplexity to track online conversations and find relevant topics for content marketing.

📝 Example: Say you brainstorm ideas for a blog post about LinkedIn personal brand tactics.

🤖 Sample Prompt: “Pretend you’re a marketer trying to understand the most recent trends in personal branding on LinkedIn. Can you find recent posts on social media platforms like YouTube, Reddit, and LinkedIn discussing this topic?

Perplexity AI will now dole out posts specific to your research topic. You’ve got great material all in one place.

Use these insights to either create concise sub-topics in your blog post or better, tweak these formats to promote your blog on social media.

#2 | STATISTICS AT YOUR FINGERTIPS

Before AI came along, finding credible sources of statistical information meant scurrying through a dozen hyperlinks and bouncing off endless paywalls. Now it is a cakewalk. We’ll show you how.

🧠 Ideas:

  • Use Perplexity AI to find recent statistics about workplace engagement to plug into a blog post for a client in HR.
  • If you own a skincare brand and are looking for research around the ingredients in your products, you could have it search for relevant academic papers that underscore the benefits of your line.
  • Build impactful LinkedIn carousels citing these statistics within 30 minutes.
  • ⚙️ Recommended tool: Elicit is another AI tool worth trying if you’re looking for specific data points or studies to cite — ask it questions as if it were a human research assistant, and it will index and share papers and citations that answer your queries.

#3 | DON’T FORGET TO REPURPOSE CONTENT

It’s not a good idea to use AI for writing content from scratch. But it can do a decent job of summarising and repurposing a different story.

💡 Idea: Drop a dense study from a client into an AI tool and ask it to summarise the key points in a non-academic way. Drafting blogs and posts just got a lot easier

⚙️ Recommended tool: Buffer’s AI Assistant can help you dig up old social content to repurpose in new ways (without scrolling back endlessly on your feeds).

🤖 Sample Prompt: "Transform the following LinkedIn post into a cohesive five-tweet thread that captures the essence of the original message while making it suitable for Twitter's audience. Each tweet should build on the previous one, include engaging hooks, and utilize relevant hashtags to maximize visibility. Focus on creating a narrative arc that keeps followers interested until the last tweet."
