4 Home Staging Ideas That Will Make You Say "Wow" but Won't Break the Bank

One of the most critical aspects of any home selling is staging. The more appealing your home is to prospective buyers, the more quickly you can close the deal and move forward. With that in mind, let's look at four low-cost home staging ideas that are sure to attract your customers.

#1: Clean the area until it gleams

The first and most obvious choice will cost you nothing but your time. Your house should be spotless from top to bottom. The floors should be so clean that eating off them is not an issue. The walls should be free of marks and clean. Windows and mirrors have been buffed to a gleaming sheen. If there's any dirt on the property, you can be sure that potential buyers will notice it!

#2: Get a new set of slipcovers and sheets

You can spruce up your furniture by investing in new slipcovers if it's beginning to look a little dingy. So that the furniture blends in, it can be colour-matched to the rest of the room's palette. It's also a good idea to make sure that all beds have new-looking, matching sheet sets. The bedrooms do not have to resemble hotel rooms, but they must be attractive.

#3: Upgrade the lighting in important rooms

When was the last time you changed the bulbs in your lamps and light fixtures? It's time to upgrade to newer LED or compact fluorescent lighting if you're still using outdated, dingy incandescent bulbs. To avoid the room's colour and feel clashing with the lighting, aim to adjust the colour temperature of the bulbs to the rest of the room. If this is too much for you, hire a lighting specialist to assist you in lighting the critical, high-traffic areas.

#4: Add A Touch Of Warmth And Life With Plants

Finally, if your home requires some greenery, a quick trip to the local nursery is a must. Adding one or two plants to your common areas brings life to the room and helps to keep the air clean. You can always add a flowering plant currently in bloom if you want a splash of colour.

Absolutely love this! I've looked at a room and thought, "hmm it'll cost so much to change this up." But you're right, a few cosmetic staging changes really makes a difference.

Love your recommendations Damir Romanotto and the sheer simplicity of each of them. Not to "Steal your thunder" but my wife is great at this as she will routinely go online and find inexpensive paintings with frames which she uses to add warmth and color to the walls. She's told me that often the cost of paid was less than it might cost to get a picture framed, but the result is impressive.
